PRAXIS® PLT EC, K-6, 5-9 and 7-12: Book + Online (PRAXIS Teacher Certification Test Prep)

Because I feel that studying with it helped me do well on the test, I feel that I have to give this book a good rating. My master's program is Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in ESL. Some of the content was not addressed directly in program coursework.I am glad to have made the purchase and to have had access to it (I used the Kindle for PC version). I studied for a three-week period between semesters (this, and an older version of an ESL Praxis study guide that I found used on Amazon). The content felt so boring, and I so despise having to take standardized tests, that I couldn't bring myself to spend much time on it immediately before the test. I didn't practice the writing segments and am not sure how I did on those since the test score isn't broken down to give that information, but I think that having a firm grip on content will help with that aspect.It didn't seem like there were many more current study guides available, than this title. It is a decent review, however.

I studied three or four times a week for an hour or two, while my baby was sleeping, and I passed the test. I really liked the simplicity of the study over each math concept, but when I went to take the test the questions were a lot more difficult. This book gives you a good review over concepts, just be ready to use those concepts in (how can I say it?) a multi-layer way. Over all please with my score!!

I started off using this book. I bought it as an e-book. The book was fine, but I preferred the CliffNotes book by Diane Kern. I think it was mainly because I bought the tangible book instead of this book which was an e-book.

The book has good information and the theories are linked to classroom application, which is what is required for the PLT examinations. I did have a background of Psychology, so I went through the book in 2 days and appeared for the exam and obtained a high score.

I passed the test, so I guess you could say it works. The condensed/main points section at the beginning of each section is great for really quick studying. The book gives you all the main pieces of information you need to know for the test.

Used this test prep book to study for the Praxis exam and passed with ease. It covers everything you need and teaches you how to write the constructed response answers. I would recommend it to anyone taking the exam.

Definitely helped me know what to study and how to prepare. Before I went in, I had no idea what to expect. This book was a great prep resource.
