Great Hub for Expanding USB 3.0 Ports – Flexible and Convenient
I’ve been using the Sabrent Multiport USB 3.0 Hub (HB-R3MB) for a while now, and it’s been a great addition to my setup. The installation was simple, and it worked right away with no issues. The hub provides plenty of USB ports, allowing me to connect multiple devices at once, which has been really convenient. The 90°/180° degree rotatable feature is a nice touch, making it easy to adjust the hub’s position for better accessibility. The data transfer speeds are quick, and I haven’t noticed any lag or slowdowns. The compact design doesn’t take up much space on my desk, and I also appreciate that it’s powered, so I can connect devices that need more power without any issues. Overall, this is a reliable and practical USB hub that I’d recommend to anyone needing extra ports for their computer or workstation.

Great product, I have one for each of my two laptops.
I have an older 2006 Windows Vista HP Pavillion laptop, and it's always had heat issues so I bought a cooling pad/stand that uses a USB port to run the fans. Then the disc drive died so I bought an external USB CDR/DVDR drive. Once the trackpad died and I plugged in a USB mouse, I realized I ran out of USB ports on the machine! With this device, I now have all that plugged in and three (3) free USB ports for thumbdrives and whatever else. **Actually, this laptop houses the 4-port USB 2.0 model. See below for the 3-port USB 3.0 model** My newer 2017(?) HP Omen laptop also uses the same external CDR/DVDR drive because these days computers don't have internal optical drives. I also have a USB TASCAM microphone interface plugged in. The third and final USB port on this laptop houses the 3-port USB 3.0 Hub, which currently has nothing plugged into it. Every now and then I hook up two external drives using this device to transfer files. There is zero slowdown. Overall I'm quite happy with these little things. I've had them for months and they function prefectly. They swivel in place, they are lightweight sturdy aluminum on three sides (the backside is black plastic). They have a soft light blue glow from a small LED that also illuminated the top USB port. If you need an increase in USB ports without compromising space or adding MORE wires, this is the solution!

Nice 3 port USB expansion unit. Makes me want more.
Works well, built well, very affordable and I love that it can adjust, makes it easier to position on a desk surface or lap. It's so nice I want a bit more! If it was a 4 port and could rise higher relative to USB port and maybe swing in across side of laptop so it was parallel I'd give a 5* rating. Makes it more useful in tight spaces & lowers my fear of bumps. Think of cats that love to bump & play with dangly things. After using it with a couple laptops & PCs I though of a feature I want: LED lights saying what version of USB port the unit is plugged into on the pc. Some PC's have multiple USB 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 ports and it isn't obvious which version of USB port this device is beung connected to. I suggest steady Green if port is USB 3.0+, flash green or Yellow if USB 2.0, flashing (Red) or off if neither. The light should show only when properly inserted. Maybe LED to warn if trying to draw more power for external devices than port is giving. How about a six sided 6 port cube having 1.5" sides with a 2 elbow main USB connector allowing 360 ° positioning. Include the sort of LED indicator light I described above, and make itvan LED also able to serve as a keyboard light--hate buying a separate USB device just for that. I could use a few of those cubes. Especially if they could repel cats from off warm keyboards. Cube design may makes it easy to plug in more plugs, or pull out, without them bumping or pushing/pulling on each other. Give me more ports, cube shaped, LED light & flexible positioning. If making it cat repellent isn't feasible I'll probably have to engineer a Bluetooth controlled IoT turret mounted squirt gun to zap malingering cats or nosey/jealous humans, or maybe command The Rhoomba to come after them, or just hiss menacingly.

Great accessory
This is a must for multiple usb devices on a laptop. I use it for my wireless mouse, iPhone connection, and multiple usb memory sticks. It is NOT designed to stay plugged in when transporting your laptop in a sleeve, bag, or backpack and that’s fine. It is a great accessory to enhance your productivity.

USB Data Transfer is not reliable.
If you only intend to use it for peripherals, it will do the job. However, if you want to attach a USB 3.0 data drive to it, it is UNUSABLE. The usb drive constantly connects and disconnects. Take the review for it, or risk corrupting the drive with the constant disconnect/reconnect. I anticipated I may possibly have this issue based on some of the helpful reviews here, so I ordered an additional hub just incase with the intent of using this item as a 3 peripheral device hub. It's nice to have your wireless mouse, keyboard, and maybe one additional wireless peripheral pre-docked so that you can just connect it to your usb port when using on the go. In that way, it's super convenient and fills its function. It also does feel sturdy and doesn't feel janky when connected to the usb port. I have to decrease about half the full review value because it does not do what industry expected standards of a usb port would do(data transfer), especially for being named a premium device. Otherwise, it seems to be a decent product, will report if anything new comes about (for example, unreliable keyboard/mouse functionality gaming). I personally only cared to test data transfer functionality with 2 peripherals + usb data drive, and 1 peripheral + usb data drive. I don't know if the USB data drive will work with just the USB data drive connected, but why bother ordering the device to only connect 1 USB data drive and nothing else to it? XD Might as well connect the USB data drive direct to your USB port then!
