Japonesque Velvet Touch Primer with a Weightless Gel Formula for Smooth, Matte Skin and Reducing Pore Size

I purchased this product because it was one of the highest-rated primers on Amazon.com. I had no prior experience with Japonesque products before I purchased this item. After purchasing this item, I am so impressed that I will be purchasing other items on this product line.This primer goes on clear. It takes very little to cover your face - I generally use 1/3 of a pump on each cheek, a tiny amount for my chin, upper lip, and nose. Then I use a final portion of a pump for my forehead. The product is very slick in its feel. It feels like it has some silicone-based ingredients in it. It goes on extremely easy, and it easily smoothed over a large facial area with an amount of product about 2 mm in diameter.The only thing negative I can say about the primer is that it does not really cover and diffuse some large pores I have on my cheeks near my nose. However, I will say that the only time these pores appear is when I use urban decay's powder foundation. So I don't know if that's an incompatibility of the primer and powder foundation, or if it's a negative about the primer. However, it works beautifully with Too Faced liquid foundation. When the primer is used with the liquid foundation, the primer base allows me to use very little foundation to cover my skin and it allows for easy blending and buffing that bare skin would not. I do not feel as though the one slight with the powder foundation is enough to lower the star rating I gave it.

I first tried this as a sample and was instantly hooked. Velvet absolutely describes the way it feels on your skin and my makeup stays put all day long. My teenage son even borrowed it to use for his theatre performances because it served as a protective barrier between his acne prone skin & the greasy stage make-up. He said it also kept him from feeling like his make-up was running in the 2nd Act.I would happily spend 4 times the price for this product!

I started using Japonesque makeup with a purchase from a local retail store. When they discontinued carrying the makeup I checked Amazon and found it there. I have been extremely satisfied with Japonesque makeup and will continue using it from Amazon as long as they will carry it. I love the soft look it gives your complexion. I use the primer, foundation and blush and like it extremely well.

So smooth and creamy! I can visibly see it filling in my pores and it helps with the longevity of my makeup. It feels a little heavy when first touching it but on the face that feeling isn't there and you can't tell there's anything on your face when you blend it into the skin. Love this!! In the picture, I have a dollop of it on the right and it's rubbed into the left side of my hand.

This is my first time trying Japonesque primer , it is awesome goes on smooth , leaves face feeling silky and smooth , not dry like most primers I have tried and helps keep make up on all day will buy again

OMG this primer is the bomb!!!!!! I put this on after I clean my faceand then I put the primer on and it only takes a little. You spread it all overyour face before you put on foundation or concealer or anything and thenafter you apply it then you do the rest of your make up, you will never have to touch upon it cause it lasts all day and night and never a touch up!!!! So I will be getting mesome more once I run out.....

I was super excited to try this primer after reading the reviews. I have combination skin but it's never super dry or super oily. Every time I use this primer my skin gets extremely oily under my makeup. I've tried everything, using less using more only applying it to certain areas.... Nothing makes a difference. It does make your skin soft and the makeup go on nicely but my face looks so greasy by the end of the day.

Now here is an item that your face will love you for it. This primer goes on smoothly and softly. For us ageing older females with crows feet and deep wrinkles, this is the primer for you. Helps your eye liner go on straight and allows make-up to stay on thru-out the day. A bit pricey for the amount you get but the primer does work miracles. Save your pennies. It's worth it...
