GET IT!!!!
when my old starter busted on my 1967 Camaro 350 SBC, i immediately knew i wasn’t going to replace it with another OEM starter so i shopped around and found this gem, i went with this one because it is compatible with both 153/168 tooth flywheels, my only concern with this starter is it doesn’t have any mounting points for the brace that bolts to the starter directly to the block.i went ahead and bolted up the new starter to the motor without any brace, installation took less than 20 minutes tops, shimmed, bolted to block, hooked up 2 wires on starter.as soon as i turned the key to fire the motor it was a dream from there, car started up much easier and smoother than it did with the old starter. i start my car at least twice a week and it never hesitates with this starter.

Powerful
I did a manual transmission swap on my 69 camaro and even though my stock starter was still going strong it would not work on the new bell housing. This starter mounted up nicely and looked good. The only issue I had was that it was a 2 wire hook up and my stock wires were 3. After a little research I found out I only needed the main power and the purple trigger wire. The car starts so much faster and smoother now more than ever! I am already planning on purchasing another one for the next project!

So much better
I read the reviews and thought I would give this starter a try. My 1998 Chevy 3500 with the 7.4 l ( 454) kept eating factor starters, it was about every other month, week, day. I bought this starter on a Thursday morning and had it delivered next day, I put it in on Saturday with no troubles. They sent shims but I didn't have to use them, and I was able to use all three bolt holes, and was a lot easier to hook all the cables and wires with them being on the side versus being on the top of the starter. I also liked the protected coating on it to help with the heat. I would recommend this product if you're having starter trouble.

Installation a headache NON RETURNABLE
So far this starter has been nothing but trouble. It does not fit. It hit everything even when it’s clocked in several different positions. I attempted to return it unused knowing it wasn’t going to work and the item is NOT returnable. What a horrible purchase and product. I would not recommend this particular starter. I have had ok luck with other of their products but to be left out $200 because a new unused item wasn’t returnable is something that I feel is unacceptable and shouldn’t have to be stuck with parts that can’t be used. So if you’re reading this know that’s this starter doesn’t fit correctly and can’t be returned so I wouldn’t recommend it.

** Bought July 22, 2016 for over $200 **
Still going STRONG in a 1990 10.5" Lifted S10 Blazer on 35" wheels, 5 Speed.. I have BEAT THE CRAP Out of this starter using it to Start in gear at red lights n things when Loosing the clutch . Have used it for pulling the vehicle along over Rocks & in Heavy Mud when wheels would spin to much under the engines power in 4 Low & both axles Locked .Only issue I ever had was the 2 Allen key adjustment bolts coming loose a few times, That was IT.. Lots & lots of Power & takes abuse. ** Need to make sure you have the Electrical Power to feed it " Other wise you could end up with issues as with All gear reduction starters.

Great but careful if you have headers
I have no doubt that this starter is great. I was unable to clock the starter in a way that would allow me to use the staggered bolt pattern for a BBC while clearing the header tubes.

Pay attention to solenoid and battery wires hook up they are close together!
This has been the best starter I ever had! Iv built many SBC motors had 3 of them with 305 heads for more torque but never had one with a steel crank shaft, went through 3 stock starters in 2 months so i had to breakdown an buy my first high torque starter and bought it used but im very impressed!! I do recommend this brand of starter!
