Beautiful Painted Lady Butterflies
I’ve been raising butterflies for past 5 years. Absolutely love it. Started out as something fun for grandchildren. Enjoyed it so much it’s become a family affair. We have a release day and now the whole family takes part in it. It’s a wonderful way to experience this with children. They get to watch them grow and change then come out of the cocoons. The joy we get is remarkable. Wonderful memories with grandchildren. I’ve had great success. Last year was the most I’ve raised. I think it was 38. Only two didn’t make it.

Butterflies 🦋
This journey has been so fun to watch and explore, my kids absolutely enjoyed every second of watching the life cycle of a caterpillar. 🐛We have 3 butterflies currently (As I'm writing this another one hatched so now we have 4.) but we are hoping for all of them to have made it. We did lose the log you were suppose to set the chrysalis' in so l hand made a solution to that 😂 I cut open a hefty cup and put tape around the opening so it's a smooth edge and the butterflies won't hurt their wings, Then I placed the paper the chrysalis' are attached to on top and taped the paper onto the cup. The final step was putting something heavy on the bottom of the cup so it wouldn't tip over when the butterflies come out. So I placed a rock that my son had and a shell that we found at the beach in them. And now we shall wait for more to hatch We will wait for their wings to dry and to make sure they are eating before releasing them into the wild for them to live happily ever after! Thank you for everyone that has been keeping up with our butterfly journey! We will keep updating as time goes on! Also we had a caterpillar that was significantly smaller than the rest when we first got them. He’s still alive but growing a lot slower than the rest. He’s still in the cup with food and I’m going to try everything I can to help him get to become a butterfly 🦋

Wow. What an amazing experience with my children. These sweet little caterpillars were perfect! We ordered 10 but got extra and they all made chrysalises! Every single one survived their metamorphosis journey and became a beautiful butterfly! We put strawberries and flowers in the butterfly habitat for a few days to observe them. Then came release day and oh my! So magical! They crawled all over our hands and hung out with us for a while before flying away. I can’t wait to order more and do it again. I highly recommend these caterpillars!

Overall wonderful, but add to instructions please
It was alot of fun to raise the butterflies, though I feel like the instructions should mention what to do is a crysalys falls, just set it at the bottom of the enclosure and it'll be ok, I unfortunately made the mistake the first time around with the crysalys, but I quickly fixed it. Also, there should be a warning about how much the butterflies poop after they emerge from the crysalys. Lol. But anyway, this is overall a wonderful product, I got to pin a few butterflies after they died naturally and they look beautiful.

The Fascinating World of Caterpillars
Caterpillars, those small and seemingly insignificant creatures, have an enchanting world hidden beneath their tiny, wriggling bodies. My recent experience observing caterpillars has left me in awe of nature's extraordinary transformations.**Pros**:1. **Metamorphosis**: The life cycle of a caterpillar, culminating in its transformation into a butterfly or moth, is nothing short of miraculous. Watching this metamorphosis unfold is a captivating journey that brings a sense of wonder to both children and adults.2. **Biodiversity**: The diversity among caterpillar species is astonishing. From striking colors to intricate patterns, caterpillars come in a wide range of shapes and sizes, making them a joy to discover in nature.3. **Educational**: Observing caterpillars is an excellent way to introduce kids to the concepts of life cycles, biology, and ecology. It provides an opportunity for hands-on learning and instills an appreciation for the natural world.**Cons**:1. **Short Lifespan**: Caterpillars have relatively short lifespans in their larval stage. This might be disappointing for those who become attached to their little companions, but it's an integral part of their life cycle. In conclusion, caterpillars are nature's enchanting storytellers, weaving tales of transformation and resilience. These humble creatures have the power to instill awe, curiosity, and respect for the natural world. My experience with caterpillars has been nothing short of magical, and I encourage everyone to take a moment to observe these remarkable beings in their journey of life.

Great!
I do the whole butterfly thing with my son every year now. This is year two. Last year we got our caterpillars from a different place. Got two cups and one whole cup died. Never made it into Cocoons. So this year I looked for a different company.I was late to the game this year and pushing it on the max temp. The week they would come would be about 83 and I’m in the south so that feels much harder.I camped the mailbox and got them out fast. Was 83 and sunny that day.All were alive and in great shape. Very small and young! Mine last year I also recieved much larger. One cup has 5 and the other cup they gave me 7 which was also nice. Both cups are growing and thriving.Took two days from FL to NC.Def happy with these folks and will continue to order from here every year. Will update when they do thier thang and turn into butterflies.
