Be aware that this rocker switch doesn't have a very big lip on the front edges to hold it in an opening/hole. I would prefer a switch that has more overhang on the front part. With a hole big enough to push the rocker switch in place (from the front side) there is not much room for error to be able to get the front edge to catch. It might work better on a thin strong metal. Trying to install it on anything thicker than 1 mm or so is tough.

I requested RF-1001 T85 switches. The web site showed all kinds of switches. not just the switch I want. I had to look for a switch that had the same specs. The T85 was not part of any descriptions but the switch I ordered turned out to be a T125 with the voltage & amps were correct so I ordered them. When I went to install one, the switch was not the same width of the T85 and flops around in the mounting hole. I had to try another switch which I am waiting for now. The switches are find for something else but not to replace the switches I need to replace. Why does the WEB sites on the WEB not give result that match what was entered in the search. Just to add to this there was not an option to order white cases to match what I am replacing. I will have to Paint the switch when I install it. Thanks

Initially received 2 power switches but seller corrected this immediately. I have two electric infrared heaters with KCD3 rocker switches and was getting ready to throw them away because the heaters would no longer power on. I decided to invest in these switches. I ordered them and my husband installed them. Very happy because these switches got my electric heaters working again. I had paid close to $80 for each heater last winter so these KCD3 switches saved me a couple of hundred dollars.

These switches fit a Duraflame DFS-500 and have the correct Amp/Voltage to replace the factory part (which is labeled SC792-6). The side clips look larger than the piece coming out of the electric fireplace, but they fit fine. Switch is easy to swap out; the difficult part is opening up the box to get to the switch and then putting it together again.Thrilled to find this as I use the electric fireplace daily through winter, and there was nothing wrong with the unit other than the switch going bad. Cheaper and less wasteful to just replace the switch! Wish I could have purchased one instead of five, but will just keep the others in case the second switch goes bad.

I purchased 5 switches because I have been having problems with other switches. So far one switch in and no issues. It even has a good feel to it. One word of caution might be, How is it to be wired up? I had to get on youtube to see what other guys were doing, well I got it right, so power and switch-light works as designed but you won't find any directions in the package.

Took me a while to get the project up and running, then switched it on. Worked fine for maybe five cycles, then it seemed it be shorted in the On position and would not shut off. Replaced that switch with another of the five; same thing after only a very few cycles (less than 10). I'm not putting a third one of these in -- they're way past the return period, so the others will go in the trash.

I bought these switches that they would indicate when they're on with the light to illuminate the on position. None of them does and I do not see seller response to similar observations from other buyers. Do not buy. Waste of money on these if you want and "on" indicator light.

Worked well as a replacement switch for my Craftsman 6.5 hp blower vac which had a smoked switch. My switch was only two wires so the illuminated toggle feature doesn't function and you just had to pick the two switched terminals to hook on to. New switch was a little narrow for blower vac cutout so I just gobbed around it with RTV to close the gap. Works well and I have four left over that I don't anticipate ever needing.

Since maplin disappeared it has become increasingly hard to find components on the high street.Our tea urn was knocked accidentally, and the power button was damaged. These saved my bacon. So simple but so difficult to find.

Arrived well packaged, nice simple switches with good quality plastic and a positive action

Only 2 peices in the box should be 5 peices seal not broken. Can't find contact to sort out problem.

Bought these to replace a broken switch on my fireplace insert. So far the new switch works perfectly and saved us $$$.
