Excellent FSO entry book
Having been tasked with the mission to research all that I could about Security Clearances and the Facility Security Officer (FSO) position at a government contracting firm, it was difficult to find resources on the topic that were available for the up-and-coming FSO. In this book, Mr Bennett gives clear and concise answers to help guide the way for those that haven't been in the industry for long or at all. And with the Kindle edition, it was easy to have the book with me for reference whenever I needed help with knowing which forms to use, what acronyms stand for, and what is the next step in the Security Clearance process. I highly recommend this and other RedBike Publishing books on the subject - they are quite helpful for those new to the industry and those that are refreshing their studies.

Short and Sweet
The book is great-- cuts to the point on how to get started in this business. Succinctly describes what you need to do to get your business set up to work on clearance contracts. Gives you helpful links, and does a fairly good job at listing out the "to-do's".

Great insight for new or seasoned cleared personnel alike!
This book by Jeffrey Bennett is a tool that every person with a clearance should own; it's a must have. He takes a not so titillating subject and breathes new life into it in a manner that is not only easy to understand but also very thoroughly explained. From the basics to the advanced concepts and everything in between, Jeff's seemingly innate knowledge is apparent and his delivery is nothing short of expert. Whether the reader just received their clearance eligibility or they have had it for their entire career, there is a great deal to be learned from the concepts and information contained therein. The reader will get more than their money's worth from this publication and will undoubtedly be used as a reference and guide for years to come.

Not really in depth and misstates requirements
Did not really provide more detail than what is available publicly and misstates requirements (like what is required re financial disclosures on the SF-86). Not worth the money in my view.

Only The Kindest Person Would Do This!!!
I'd never thought I would side with Conservatives, but when it comes to education, maybe a person really can have too much of a good thing. It seems that a lot of scholarship does not make for a good book.If you're looking for a book that treats knowledge on FSO, and knowledge on the security sector in general as well as similar practices in a neutral way, this isn't it. This is a book that has been written for a genuine SAPPC, SFPC, ISOC, ISP academic audience.- K
