EXCELLENT KEY SAFE
I'm impressed with the design, features, and build quality of the Masterlock Key Safe. The installation instructions are clear, simple, and easy to follow.I decided to place the safe in a secure location near the front door, not on the door knob itself, but rather to a nearby galvanized water pipe.I've tried it out a couple of times and am pleased with the accessibility and ease of use. I was especially pleased with the tough, rubber-type black cladding that protects the case and the sturdy shackle, and there's even a clever, black cover that slides down to access the 4-digit, rotating combination locking mechanism. And I feel the price is reasonable for such a strong, high-quality product.

Perfect for safely having keys when you need them!
These are made well and do the job. I had purchased another brand at a local store and all three broke the first time I used them. I found these on Amazon for less money and was very pleased with the quality, ease of entering my own code, and functionality!

Good quality construction, easy to use
The lock box is good quality construction and easy to use. I like that it is not digital, so even when the power is out, or there is some sort of online disruption, the item works. Worth a bit extra money to get this higher quality, purely mechanical lock box.

Good Sturdy Lock, but overall design has few faults
It works well and is all it claims to be. It's easy to prepare and install. Simple to change the combination and the protective cover over the tumblers works nicely. The lock is very strong, sturdy and of good construction. It is surprisingly hefty and the little number dials move quite easily, even with bigger fingers. It looks like a real lock-- not like many of them that just look cheap and easy to break. The few issues I have are sadly across many different brands and seem to be issues with this style of lock, not just this particular one.My issues are that ONE, you must turn the number wheels after closing it or it remains in the open position, even though it looks locked. I often find myself forgetting to scramble the wheels thereby failing to secure the lock and essentially leaving it open, even though it truly looks like it is secured. TWO-- once the front is opened, someone could easily remove the entire lock from your door knob, as the latch that locks the handle down is easily visible and quite simple to disengage, allowing the entire lock to be removed when hung on a door knob. THREE--once lock is open, someone with minimal experience with these styles of locks, could easily change your lock code without your knowledge.-- Then you would be "locked out" of your own lock box! FINALLY -- I wish it had a chain firmly attached inside or had some way for you to attach a chain (or similar) to something other than the handle that goes over the knob (too easy to remove it then). The reason is so that I wanted to attach a chain long enough so that one could use the key to unlock the door, but could not easily remove the key from the box (to steal or make a copy, etc). We have different people coming and going, helping my elderly parents (which is why we needed something) and while you can change the combo quite easily, an unscrupulous person could very easily completely remove the key and or lock, thereby entirely defeating the security and reason for dong this. Currently you can only attach something to the hanging mechanism inside the box and once the lock box is open the chain, attached key, or ENTIRE lock can be easily and simply removed or altered.Other than these issues (common to many similar products or brands sadly), I really like the lock and would probably buy one again as these issues seem to be present in many of similar styles and brands of this kind of product line. This particular one is one of the easiest to use and sturdiest I have found despite its faults. I would probably buy again and would really like to figure out how to wall mount it!

The old standard
It is the standard for key lock boxes for years. I've bought several over the years and they are resistant to corrosion unless you leave on abandoned for years outside, and they are super easy to use. As a realtor, the expensive bluetooth lockboxes such as Supra, are more secure and user trackable, but are very finicky and frustrating if you are out in 100° weather trying to get one to work. These are easy peasy.
