Do you need a utility knife with some extra bells and whistles?
This is one of the best knives I've found. I only used this knife for lightweight projects. I still haven't been able to effectively test this knife's metal. On multiple levels and in multiple dimensions(not related to Hadden). I also ordered https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000NID9X4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 knowing that this knife comes with three extra blades. 1 was installed and ready for use and the other two were stored in reserve. That's where this knife sets itself apart from the other guys. It has a pocket, on the back end of the knife that slides up to accept about 5 extra blades. I unfortunately am used to the run of the mill knife. A few settings and a screw or lever to expose the knife's innards to access the extra blades. I wanted to feed it and was met with 4 tiny screws. I'm supposed to remove all those? No, too complicated. Hmm. What is this? No way! I love that. The Stanley blades did seem slightly better quality than the included blades. The pocket easily accepts extra blades and they fit snugly under a plastic tongue under pressure.Next up are the sliders. On my journey through this knife's functions I pushed the top-most lever forward and the blade auto-retracts. I push it out again... Let me take a moment to say that if the package had instructions I failed to read them. to see if I can lock it into place. Nope. Here's another button near its business end. Push that and push the top lever. Still retracts. So I push the side lever all the way forward. AHA! With the normal 3 length settings I am liking this knife more and more. To recap - Top slider for quick cuts. Side slider for longer jobs. A pocket in the back for quick blade replacements. That's where we are now. Remember that button I pressed thinking it might lock the blade? That button releases the blade. It not so easy though, and for that I am thankful. One would press that button in firmly, carefully grasp the blade by its top corner and slightly wiggle the blade as he or she pulls. Bingo. The blade's out. Reversing the process, releasing the lever and wiggling to make sure it locks is easy.It is also smaller and lighter than my other knife.I hope I remember to come back here after I have run this guy through its paces. It's thoughtfully designed and is comfortable to use, as least for short periods of time, so far. With its many features I do recommend this knife for the occasional jobs around the house. I haven't used it enough to recommend to the contractors/subcontractors and homeowners out there. For the price I recommend buying at least 1. 3 so you are prepared should anything happen to your knife. 6 if you have a helper. After that, he or she can fend for themselves.

Great utility knife
I cut open boxes for my job and was looking for a knife that had an auto retractable blade and this knife offers options multiple fixed blade lengths on the side and auto retract option on top. I personally wish the buttons were reversed with the side button being the auto retract vs on top because it's a bit awkward for me to use the top button. Also some of the little screws fell out when I dropped the knife so I just glued them in place and the holder for the extra blades has also opened and the blades fell out when dropped. So if you're not clumsy like me, it's a great utility knife. If you tend to drop things, some glue and maybe a bit of tape? should keep everything in place, over all I'm glad I purchased it.

Super knife, multi -function, sturdy, great slide blade button! Love it.
Great knife for the Pro or weekender. I am a Pro here on the Maine coast. I have this knife on a big asphalt roofing job now. Its tough and wont quit.... unlike my crew. Quality design is evident with this knife. Top button slides bladeout and automatically retracts when done ! Clever. Side button locks the blade. Yes, quick blade change button workssmooth. I have had several Pro knives and worked the heck out of them. Im gonna do the same with this one.I like this knife and will buy it again, for sure. Im a private contractor. I bought this knife. Its not a freebie.Yes 5 stars all around !! Great product !!

Really nice, but it needed a hole ...
This is a bit fancier than a standard box cutter. The spare blades are much easier to get to, much easier to replace and require no tools to do so. It also has a unique feature that allows you to temporarily extends the blade with the top slide and then a spring automatically retracts it when you release the slide. The slide on the side "steps" the blade out to one of three positions where it then locks in place just like the old, standard utility knives. I deducted a star because I really wish it came with a hole to hang the knife on my pegboard. I managed to drill a hole through the handle for that purpose, but it wasn't easy as I had to take the unit apart to find a suitable location for the hole that didn't damage the blade storage feature. Then the bits and pieces of the slide mechanisms were difficult to reassemble (and easy to lose.) I've attached a picture to show the hole location. Be warned, the hole is very close between one of the screw locations that hold the handle together and the spare blade holder.

At last! A utility knife that meets my standards!
I carry a utility knife in my pocket because I need to use it several times every day, but I've had a heck of a time finding one that meets my standards. I want it to be easy to extend the blade but as safe as possible to use - which means also easy to retract the blade - and I want it to be ergonomic, and I want it to be easy to access a backup blade or two. This product meets my needs and wants even better than I expected! The side button operates like most utility knives, locking the blade in several different extended positions, great for heavier cutting like prepping cardboard for recycling. The spring loaded button on the top retracts the blade fully and quickly when you let go of it, perfect for those frequent single-swipe applications like opening plastic bags and blister packs. I thought I wasn't going to like this feature, but it grew on me quickly! This knife feels sturdy in my hand without being overly heavy, and has a nice curve to it that makes it so much easier to hang onto when I operate the buttons. The blade storage holds three blades comfortably, and is easy to access. It's super easy to load a new blade, just set the blade position to fully extended, hold down the loading button and slide it in.Very happy with this product!
