Great product Easy install
So far it’s working great, I mounted it in the crawl space under the kitchen sink and put it inline with the hot water pipe that feeds the kitchen sink. No more wasting water during a long wait for the hot water to get there. I timed it and I’m now getting hot water in 6 seconds. This is the 4 gallon but the 2.5 would probably have been big enough. I added a PVC pipe to the release valve on top and a plastic tub underneath just in case the pressure valve ever does a release.

Great little hot water heater!
This is my 3rd time purchasing these tanks... I bought one 2 years ago so I could use it with my off grid solar.. 2 years it's been and it's still going strong, so I decided to buy 2 more.. 1 to replace my 40 gallon electric hot water heater and another for a spare ( prepping)...I don't know what some people are complaining about on the few bad reviews, I mean don't you people have any brains or common sense?.. it's a 7 gallon hot water heater, you can't expect a 20 minute hot shower but I can get a 10 to 12 minute shower and I like pretty warm showers... Plus on top of that it uses less than 1\3 of the electric my 40 gallon heater did, plus I can run it on solar or a small generator, it takes about 35 minutes to fully recover, and seems well built and judging from the other one I put in 2 years ago seems quite reliable..My only complaint is I bought them returned.. one was brand new and never installed so I put that one in my preps.. the other however was installed by a sloppy plumber who marked it up with pipe dope and gouged it quite a bit.. I installed that one, it works great but should've been less than 204.00 in my opinion which was marked as like new.. but anyways no fault of the hot water heater, just incompetent people, but I saved 160 dollars buying 2 of them though so I can live with it having a few marks back in a closet where no one can see it anyways...I highly recommend these water heaters from having one for over 2 years now and it has been 100% problem free and I have 2 of them operating in my home, one does my downstairs bathroom and kitchen and the other does my upstairs bathroom and laundry room.. the money you'll save on electric over the life of the tank will pay for itself...Oh and by the way these small tanks heat the water up way way hotter than a regular hot water tank, so you use way less hot water taking a shower, that's way I can get a 10 to 12 minute shower, you could never hold your hand under straight hot water coming from these.. a regular hot water tank heats the water to 120 degrees where as these small tanks heat water to 140 to 160..And they are really well insulated too will keep water hot for hours before needing to cycle on..

Excellent
Love it. I could have ordered the 2 1/2 gallon tank and it would have been good. This one takes up a little bit more space under my kitchen sink. But easy hookup. Works flawlessly.... very good product.

Buy at your own risk
This is the first time that I have ever reviewed a product, good or bad. However I feel I need to.Do NOT buy this product.I did and less than 12 months in use the tank leaked during the night. No small leak either, I was in kitchen about 1:30 am no leaking and by 6 am water all over floor with seepage through basement ceiling. Messy and costly clean up.Unit was recommended by contractor as he had installed in his home and others in years past with no faulty issues. Mine was installed in late June 2023. It worked well initially and I was thrilled. Determined leak from tank itself not at any connections points. Unit has 8 year tank leakage warranty. Note reviews have been more negative since the fall of 2023. Question if Bosch had quality control change in past couple years. Label with serial number notes being made in China now. Correlation ???I contacted Bosch per warranty and told to have contractor contact their tech support. He did and was given instructions to take apart, photos etc. routine needed to have Bosch decide IF qualified for warranty replacement coverage. Contractor asked Bosch tech about noted history of water leakage issues in the recent year and tech was totally SILENT. Contractor asked if he was still on phone and tech did then respond he was but would not address leakage problems. This makes me suspect Bosch is aware of problem. I told contractor not to bother with trying to obtain replacement as I am NOT interested in dealing with water all over again. However I did not expect partial cash refund do to earlier responses from Bosch's customer service but I called again and asked if they had partial cash refund option. Wasn't surprised that they didn't but it DID surprise me that I was told to have contractor call Amazon and seek refund from them. WHY?? Decided to play the game and I shared experience with Amazon's customer service assistant, no surprise, no partial refund there either.Point made. Amazon is aware of issue in selling this product..if they choose to continue to....BUYER BE WARE.. YOU ARE WAISTING YOUR MONEY AND RISK ADDITIONAL EXPENSE IN WATER DAMAGE REPAIRS.Good luck.
