UCO Collapsible Camp Cup for Camping, Backpacking, and Hiking, 12 Ounces

This is an excellent cup for backpacking or camping. It's lightweight, collapses to a size easy enough to store away or clip to your bag, and it has markings on the inside for measurements. It seems to be made of durable materials and can take some rough handling.The only thing I would caution against is that the silicon material that makes up the collapsible portion of the cup seems to forever hold on to smells and flavors of what you have previously put in the cup. I've cleaned it multiple times with hot water and dish soap and it still smells like coffee or the grape electrolyte beverage I've been drinking from it on hiking trips.

I have the Retro Sunrise version of this cup (yellow/orange). I bought it to measure the water for backpacking meals. The markings are essentially unreadable. Even though I know where they are I can barely see them and have to hunt to find them. This makes it useless for my intended purpose (I ended up marking the inside with marker).That said the cup is comfortable to hold, the flat edges make it easy to fill from the pot, the rounded corners poured well, and it handled the hot water fine.I emailed their support a week ago to find out if other color combinations are easier to read and have had zero response. So that's a point against them as well when compared to other backpacking gear makers I've dealt with (like MSR which were extremely helpful).

I wanted to love this little cup, but for $9 I expected more.-2 stars for the measurements being borderline unreadable, which is the primary reason I got these (for measuring hot water for dehydrated meals). I will probably cut them deeper to salvage.-1 star due to it being very difficult to collapse , the ridges shown are much less pronounced in person. Also, the measurements are off by just under an ounce. I poured 12 ounces of water from two different measuring cups and it almost overflowed the cup. Per the markings, the cup should hold right about 13oz.Still, 2 stars because they are very nice looking and are great if you just need an expensive cup, nothing more.

I have a number of these cups and my entire family uses them when we camp. We have a number of UCO items and are happy with the quality of them all.Regarding the collapsing of the cup, I've read a few reviews that say it is hard to collapse. I think this is due to a bit of confusion. The cup is not designed to collapse along the consecutive lines on the silicon portion of the cup, which is what some reviewers say they are trying to do. Rather, you just push up from the bottom of the cup and the whole silicon section folds in with one push. Couldn't be easier and works perfectly.

I purchased this cup to use on a three-day long backpacking trip. I bought it hoping it would be small enough to fit inside the small mess kit I was using, which it did perfectly. The mess kit I use is the Vinqliq Camping Campfire Cookware Mess Kit purchased on Amazon. The cup fit inside the sauce pan, while still allowing room for the stove burner, utinsels, wood stirrer, and cleaning pad that comes with the set. I used the cup for coffee, hot chocolate, and water and neither the coffee nor the hot chocolate left a lingering flavor or smell in the cup. I read other reviewers saying they had an issue with that. I did not. Maybe they just need to clean their cup better. I love how there are measurement markings inside the cup. It folds well and stores inside the mess kit. Easy to pack tea bags and other items inside the mess kit for travel!If you can get the total package with the mess kit, I'd recommend it. Same color and size, but with an upgraded spork.

One of my favorite backpacking/camping purchases! This mug is very light weight, sturdy, and is partially collapsible which helps with storage. There are measure lines, which is nice for measuring water for dehydrated food, but they are a little hard to see. I have the Sea to Summit collapsible mugs too which are also great, but I’m always worried I might squeeze them while full of hot coffee. The partial rigid-ness of this mug gives me some piece of mind. It’s also nice to have a handle if the coffee is too hot to hold.

A great little travel mug. I used this on a 300 mile backpacking trip to drink instant coffee. Holds up well to boiling water, being crammed and heavily used. My one nit picking complaint is that the collapsing of the cup is not very smooth. It sortof requires squishing and pushing and forming to get it to collapse the way it is meant to. Not a big deal. Would definitely recommend.

Cracking little mug, not the smallest when folded, but having the solid plastic top makes it much easier to hold and use and is a worthwhile trade off. Graduations for ml on the inside are a little tricky to see unless in the right light, but seems robust and a good price. Only improvement could be a click on lid for it please uco!

It's lightweight, semi-collapsible for backpacking storage. And the sunny colour makes me happy while I drink my morning coffee. I like a mug with a handle too which is hard to find for a camping cup.
