Good quality and good price.
Works well. Had it installed by a local electrician who was surprised at the price I paid. (Somewhere between $225-275 on a prime day lightening special. ) It saved me well over $300 over the cost of buying the transfer switch the electrician offered in the original quote he gave me. He said this would work well and it did not take extra time to install so there was no additional labor charge for using this one. It seems to be sturdy and it meets the building code requirements here in California. Also it is really easy to use. Before I purchased it I checked compatibility and compliance for my application with the electrician and also I called the folks at reliance controls and told them the amperage of my electrical panel and gave them the specs on my generator to be sure it would work for me. They were friendly and helpful. I have recommended this purchase to my friends and family that are interested in setting up a back up generator

Better than expected!
I had to replace my main service panel and wanted to have a transfer switch upstream of my house panel. After searching a bit I was afraid I would not be able to afford that luxury until I found this panel. It is built using good quality Siemens breakers. It even came with 2 single pole 20 amp breakers that were not in the description. For me, this panel made a lot of sense. In total you have 6 single pole slots or 3 double pole slots depending on your needs. Of course you can mix and match single and double pole like any other distribution panel. I wired my critical circuits like the fridge, freezer and well pump. When I need to run on the generator, I just turn off the main in my house panel and the critical circuits are already to go. If I have along power outage, I can always bring my main panel back online and selectively turn circuits on so long as I don't overload the generator. At the end of the day, this was my choice and other people may want a different arrangement. This switch is nothing more than a standard power distribution panel with a full sized 200A main and 60A two pole branch breakers (backfed) for the generator. A metal sliding mechanism prevents the main and the generator breaker from ever being turned on at the same time so it serves the purpose well well providing a few standard breaker slots for convenience. Overall, the build quality is very solid. The metal is not flimsy and the buss rails are strong and solidly mounted. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone who wants a manual switch for a smaller portable generator. If you want a whole house switch, this is not what you need, it was not designed for a larger generator but it will handle most any portable generator you will find. 60Amps is more power than most people use under normal circumstances. Very good product in my opinion. I am very happy with my purchase and the price was about as good as you will find anywhere.

Great quality product
After a harsh winter it was time for us to figure wiring for a generator. We have an old New England farmhouse with a finished basement that made for tough solutions. The electrician I talked to was a skeptic when I told him I had ordered this and needed it installed. He came out to check for himself, and I think I impressed him! It was the best option given our finished basement and other considerations. He had someone out the next week and they were able to pull our old service meter and get this installed at our underground service entrance with a 50amp inlet plug. Now when we lose power we have a safe, easy solution that even my wife can handle. Our 15,000 watt generator should be here in a few weeks and now we’ll have the whole house in business when we lose power next

EXPENSIVE BUT QUALITY TRANSFER PANEL
In my search for a transfer panel to safely connect a generator to power my whole house when needed, I couldn’t find a better panel for the cost of this one. When I asked my neighbor who works at an electrical supply house if he could find a better price he told me that even at his cost he couldn’t. This one is built very well and comes with a 200 and 60 amp breaker which was perfect for the power ratings of my home and generator. Having said that I still think it’s over priced for what it is .

Quality transfer switch and easey to use
This is a perfect switch to use. It has plenty of room for the installer to use so they don't spend a lot of time (your money) trying to get stuff to fit.It also has a nice set up with one dual pole 60 amp and two single 20s. This gives a lot of options on how to wire.It is simple to switch over to generator power ans the cabinet is lockable. As always Reliance makes a quality product.

Simple = Reliable
I wanted a manual switchover from commercial power to generator. My logic was that I don't want to have to troubleshoot some fancy autoswitching unit 10 years from now when it fails on a dark stormy night. This has everything one needs to safely manually switch between commercial power and generator with the minimum points of failure.
