Okay, but not perfect
I expected these to be my best pair of compression hose, but these gradually wrinkle and bind at my ankles, restricting blood flow and causing discomfort.Easy to put on and take off. The zipper is cleverly designed to but get caught.I wish they didn't bind at my ankles.

Seems to run long and the calf is too tight.
As a disclaimer, I bought a larger size than I measured for. And then when my husband had too much trouble helping get them on me, I ordered a size larger than that. My thought is that anything tight is going to help and as the swelling goes down we can go down to the smaller sizes. My foot is pretty badly swollen. The sock fits tight enough, but the length is way too long. I have the top unzipped and folded down 3 inches and the toe is hanging off my toes by at least 2 inches. I am 6'7" so it never occurred to me to order the short, but if I ever reorder, I will. It may be because it is a larger size, of course, but I don't see why a larger size would add length. ( I checked. The smaller size is nearly the same length.)I find them a little rough. They itched so much I washed them before the first wearing which made them tolerable, but I wish I knew if there was a smoother brand. They are very nicely made. All in all, I am happy with them.Edit: I have taken a star away. After wearing the socks I realized that the band around the top of my calf is the tightest part. Because it is larger than I should be wearing, it is not a surprise that the ankle isn't very tight and the foot is loose, but when I compared it with the next smaller size, I found the smaller size foot and lower ankle are the same size. At the base of the zipper, laid flat, the larger size is 1/4 inch larger, and at the knee it is 1/2 inch larger. From this I realize that these socks will not work for me at all. No matter what size I wear the calf and just under my knee will be the tightest. How can it take down the swelling in my foot and ankle when it is tightest above them? My calf measures the small number on the size chart. My only option may be an ace bandage.

Too easy!?
I've been advised by several doctors to wear compression stockings. I tried SO hard to do it. They were always too hard getting on + off. I even bought a contraption to make it easier to do so but the hubby + I weren't able to use it right, + it didn't work at removing the darned things. So I gave up yrs ago. These are SO, SO easy using + comfortable. I did go up a size than what the chart said, + they're about 2 inches too long + folded them over, but these feel wonderful + I'm able to maneuver them by myself.I'm so, so happy + pleased with the purchase (I got 2 prs right away).Perhaps they should've been harder to put on + uncomfortable wearing. Perhaps I shouldn't have sized up but wearing + using these how they are is better than wearing none like I've done in yrs past. For your information: I'm 5' 5" tall + weigh 156 lbs, buying the sz 3XL+ am very HAPPY!! 😊Once you go with zippers, you'll never go back. I bought the nude color + they're better looking than the pics portray.

Nice compression--a bit too long
I bought the largest size. I have large calves and I'm very tall for a woman (6 ft) so I was concerned the socks would not fit. But they fit my circumference fine. I found it interesting that they were actually too long--I was expecting them to be much too short. On a shorter person they would serve as thigh-highs.I tried not stretching them up all the way so that they would be more like knee-socks, since that's what I was expecting. But that didn't work. The material they are made of must be snugly stretched, otherwise the excess migrates to one spot and that spot becomes like a tight rubber band, inhibiting circulation. So the next time I wore them, I pulled them all the way up until they were evenly stretched and then turned down a cuff at the top. I was worried the cuff would roll up and dig into my leg but it didn't .I like that the toe is open because having something tightly stretched against my toes is really uncomfortable for me. However, on a person with shorter feet, the toe of the sock would hang over the toes and bunch up in the toe of their shoes. As for the compression, I was amazed. When it gets hot my legs and feet swell enormously, like there's little difference in diameter between my calf and my ankle. But with the socks, the swelling is kept way down.To sum up, if you are 6'4", have long feet, huge calves and lots of swelling in your feet and ankles, the largest size is what you want to order.

just what the doctor ordered
I followed the sizing chart and the socks fit perfectly. I have struggled with support type stockings in the past and they were either too tight or would not stay in place and sag down around your ankles. Not so these! The graduated compression is just right and putting them on and off is a breeze. I will most assuredly order more.

Runs small
I buy compression socks, hose for my Mother. I've been buying her a sports compression sock and the M fit her well. But the fabric was a bit scratchy so I went to these which have a nice, smooth fabric. Thefirst pair I bought in M, but they were too small over her ankle, where shes' got a small ulcer that is always dressed and also too tight on the top cuff. I kept the mediums since they fit me, so, in case I ever need a compression hose. I reordered a Large for my Mother - and they're also too tight, they bite into her calf really badly, she can't zip them up. So, even though I think these are well made, sizing may be an issue especially for anyone with varicose veins or wound care needs. Not sure if I'll go for the xl or not, but they are, aside from my Mothers special needs issues, nice hose.

FIT
I wore these for practically a full day. When I took them off, the zipper had left a deep impression on my calf even tho they were size 5XX. It took about 2 hours for the impression to disappear. Will not be wearing them again
