It's not 5 star!
I bought this on the basis of the two 5 star reviews and I was really quite disappointed. the pictures were not in my opinion vivid or detailed enough. The art work, while competent, was not inspiring. To get right inside a tarot deck I think you need to truly believe in it and admire it. Sadly that is not accomplished here. A fairly pedestrian set which did not "enchant" me. Compared to something like Deviant Moon which is bold, daring and edgily haunting, this is just another tarot deck. Unless you're collecting them, I would not put this on the top of your "wanted" list.

Amazing Bright and Detailed Deck
With bigger than usual white backed cards this original deck has amazing, intricate and colourful detail. The card were made up from beautifully placed fabrics, ribbons, beads, embroidery etc. Sometimes the cards need a close up look to fully appreciate the detail but its a good thing. The overall style is slightly victorian romantic and the strong and insightful symbolism is based on the Rider-Waite. A very readable and enjoyable deck and good for the beginner too.Comes in a large box with integral place to put cards (rather than their own box). A lovely accompanying book, although I haven't gotton round to reading it yet. Too busy enjoying the cards.

Guided wisdom
Beautifully illustrated, with clear and inspired descriptions. This is an easier system to learn than most and the deck is the loveliest and most evocative I have ever owned. It is also thankfully, more spiritually aligned than occult. I would thoroughly recommend it.

SUCH BEAUTIFUL IMAGES - SO BADLY PRODUCED
Honestly it drives me nuts! What is the point of artists putting their heart and soul into these lovely masterpieces if they then allow them to be badly and cheaply made?! With the kind of technology available today to everyone at very cheap prices there is no longer ANY excuse for this type of shoddy, cheap work from professional manufacturers. The Book -The content of this book is excellent for beginners and introduces them to a variation the fools journey to learn the cards. There is a large print of each card next to the description that show the rather intricate details of this collage approach.Unfortunately though the print in is so thin in places and the paper uses so cheap and nasty (that annoying shiny stuff) that it renders this book almost unreadable. To make matters worse the pages haven't been bound they have been glued with the result being that the book starts to physically fall apart after the first few paged have been turned. The Box -Clearly this has been adapted from another project with the Enchanted Tarot label awkwardly glued on the surface. The card used is cheap and thin so each time it is opens bits start to fray and fall off. The slot for the cards is too small so they have been literally jammed into it causing even further damage to the box. All in all - not very good. The Cards -Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, where do i begin?!! Quite simply this is among the worsted I have ever seen. Well, firstly the card stock is VERY poor quality and has already got a huge bend in all the cards before they are even unwrapped. They look like they have been literally hacked out by a very blunt scalpel resulting in extensive fraying and damage along the edges. The cars have been so badly cut that they are all different sizes and off center and there is a huge gash with a chunk of missing card in the top right area running all the way through the major arcana. Needless to say that the poor quality of the cards will render them useless for shuffling due to the damage that will occur every time this is done. The print is of the worsted quality resulting in drab, dull details that in no way resemble the pictures in the book or screen shots, indeed if one didn't know better these could be a completely different set of artwork. To conclude the way these have been cranked out is an insult to the artist who made them and I'm sure they were horrified when they saw the results. The lovely atmosphere of these collage images has been completely ruined by the inexcusably cheap way they have been mass produced here. I sincerely hope the artist will one day make a premier edition that does justice to their beautiful collages because I will definitely be buying those.

Simply the best tarot/book set available!
Monte Farber and Amy Zerner are the world's most renowned creators of self-help and guidance systems. One of their most overlooked titles, "The Enchanted Tarot", is a highly regarded classic within the tarot community. Released in 1992, this book and tarot deck set set the standard for the art of tarot reading, taking readers on a journey through our dual world of The Dreaming and The Awakening, finally transcending to a higher consciousness. The book is beautifully written by Farber, whose expertise as a proven psychic is employed in helping readers to get the most out of the tarot. He covers the various methods in utilizing this unique system for gaining insight and wisdom on how to overcome adversity and solving everyday problems in today's chaotic society through the meanings of the 78 tarot cards, which each convey a message to our conscious and unconscious selves. The manner in which the interpretations of the cards are presented is quite different from what tarot readers are most used to. Instead of the typical upright/reversed meanings practiced by most tarot schools, Farber breaks down the interpretations into three(3) separate levels: The Dream, The Awakening, and The Enchantment. The Dream gives the symbolic meaning via a story-like narrative, The Awakening a straightforward elaboration, and The Enchantment an actual exercise to infuse positive energy into the card representing your life. Of note is the omission of the "reversed" card meaning to allay any fears and negative thoughts often associated with it, which I personally thought was a sincere and nice touch by Farber; a tarot deck which can do you no harm. Equally impressive is Amy Zerner's colorful and richly detailed artwork, expertly lending credence to Farber's prophetic vision. The cards, although a bit oversized, are sumptuous with an Edwardian flavor that evokes a more simpler, romantic period than today's frenzied pace. The cards are also cleverly color-coded based on suit and healing power: Hearts Purple, Pentacles Green, Wands Red, and Swords Blue. What really sets The Enchanted Tarot's artwork apart from most other tarot sets is that Zerner's illustrations are not merely paintings rendered on a computer. Each image is actually a 2' X 1' fabric collage tapestry painstakingly laid out, and then sewn together in her unique, exquisite style. These gorgeous, award-winning works of art are recognized as paintings by the National Endowment for the Arts. The colorful illustrations are also well represented in the glossy high-quality book, which you don't often find in most tarot/book sets these days. The conclusion of the book includes a short section on preparing for and doing actual readings, using the three most popular layouts in tarot: The One-Card, Three-Card, and the beloved Celtic Cross spreads. All-in-all, Farber's "The Enchanted Tarot" is a benign and gentle tarot. Zerner's stunning illustrations bring Farber's words to life and vice versa, as they complement each other. "The Enchanted Tarot" may not fall in line with those who might prefer a more traditional approach to the tarot, but with one of the highest accuracy rates in the world amongst living tarot readers, Farber's system should not be taken lightly. Instead, it should be looked upon as a consummate tool for those who are looking for self-help through alternative means. "The Enchanted Tarot" is just too damn good that I'm doing to do something which I've never done before using a 5-star rating system. I'm giving this one 6 stars with the highest recommendations. WELL DONE, MONTE AND AMY!
