This color spray camoflages thin and and bald spots when applied to the scalp and not to the hair itself
I love this product!! I have thinning/bald spots around the crown, middle of my head due to menopause and a doctor who decided testosterone was a good idea for a woman. WOMEN SHOULD NEVER TAKE IT!!! My hair dresser styles my hair and sprays the wet powder onto my scalp UNDERNEATH my existing hair to camouflage the thinning and baldness. After applying it she blows the wet portion dry on very low. It works so well that others cant tell I have thin spots or bald spots at all! The spray color becomes powder and adheres to the scalp. It stays on your scalp until you choose to wash it out. It does leave residue on your pillow cases so have plenty of shout and plenty of extra pillow cases. You will find the product on your face when u wake up as well. I keep wet wipes in my bathroom to use each morning. I would not wear white shirts or tops with collars-especially knit tops-it can stain them. This product is wonderful for BOTH men and women. The trick is to find the color spray that matches your hair color. For me, I change my hair color to match my spray powder. The colors are dark brown, medium brown, and blonde/white. The browns are quite dark. I have been treating my hormonal hair loss with a trained dermatologist and am having really great results-slow but results.

Absolute trash
This stuff is basically just spraypaint, except it doesn't stay in. If you run your hand through your hair your hand will look like you were just holding charcoal. If you sweat or get your hair wet expect it to run down your face in black rivulets. It even makes particles that dry in the air and settle like sticky black dust in your bathroom. If you breath while it's in the air expect to spit up black stuff. I can see how this product could be useful if you wanted to hide your balding and no one ever saw you up close, touched your hair, or saw you while sweating, but if that's the case then what does it matter if you're bald anyway? I'm amazed there are any good ratings of this stuff. It makes me wonder if some people are really that desperate, or if the company makes fake reviews.

It does the job!
I've used this product for many years now and I love it! I've tried several others and I keep going back to this one. The price is right and it covers nicely. I'll continue to use it until I could afford a hair transplant!

works fine, but "interesting" fragrance
I bought this product to cover gray roots in between coloring. Some reviewers found it messy, though I did not--I sprayed it at my roots and it went where I directed it without getting it anywhere else (e.g. clothing, floor, etc.). With a little outward blending, it covered my gray just fine, and the color seems a true dark brown. I do have to be careful not to scratch my head in that area after using this product, so as not to get dark brown fingers/nails. The color definitely will come off on whatever it touches, such as a hat or even sunglasses if I were to prop them on top of my head. The factor that I find least desirable is the fragrance. I have used similar hair products that have been fragrance-free and was expecting the same of this product; however, it has a noticeable fragrance that is still with me hours after application (though it is definitely strongest when applied). I apologize that I can't describe it in a more gentle fashion, but to me, it smells like an elderly woman's perfume. It seems to me that it might compete with other things a person is wearing, such as perfume or cologne. Overall, though, the fragrance is not so strong that I will discontinue using it. It just is something I didn't expect, and doesn't seem necessary for the success of the product.

spray paint for your head
The product is just mascara looking stuff that sprays out of a bottle at high velocity. Literally, if you put your girlfriend's masrcara on your head it will look the same as this does. The color of dark brown almost has a purpe-ish tint to it. I am 25 years old with thinning hair in the front side like around my temple/above forehead/front-side. In bathroom light it was noticeable and looked like i painted my head. I think for my area , its not a great idea and it looks kind of fake when looked at closely ,but for the center top of the head or if you have a bald spot in the back or crown, I think it would work better for you. It basically darkens the spot like paint and makes your white scalp gone, and makes it look like you have thick hair. I guess its good for at night or in a dimly lit place. but WARNING, this stuff does get messy, if it were to rain , just like mascara when a girl cries, your going to have black streaks running down your face, kind of hard to explain that one away. Also, it gets all over your hands if you run you hand through your hair, I can only imagine if you went to bed without washing it off (which it comes off easy with shampoo and regular wash) the pillow would be all covered in ink. All in all, it could be good but you have to pray that you don't accidentally touch it then touch your face because then you'd look weird or if you go sleep at someones house and eff their pillow up. But it does cover the skin to , idk for 5 bucks it's worth trying.

Made me feel like a winner
The media could not be loaded. I've always wanted to try spray on hair, so I just had to order this Jerome Russell stuff from amazon. I tried the dark brown, because that's what matches my natural hair color, but there are many to choose from.Pros:+Comes in a variety of colors+Covers even the toughest bald spots+Makes you feel awesome+One bottle covers an entire head three times, or probably covers a small balding spot about 10-20 times.+Every makeup crew for movies should get a bunch of these+Has a powerful spray+Spray has good accuracy, so you don't need to protect your clothes (even though I did)+Washes off easily, leaving no traceCons:-Do not go outside in the rain! Now I understand why the competing products show people swimming underwater. If you swim underwater, you'll turn the whole pool brown-Leaves a residue in the bathtub when you wash it off-Gets your fingers black if you touch your hair-Smells really bad, like glue or paint (but just when you're applying it, after you apply it, there's no smell)
