Perfectly functional
My car was dying as I came to stops and I’d have to turn the key over.It was also running higher rpms than it would have been.I changed out this filter and cleaned the air intake system and it instantly corrected the problem. Everything was quieter, rpms are lower, gas mileage better, and no stalling issues.

I recommend replacing both tps and idle air control
2004 Dodge Dakota idle would stick at 2 thousand rpms.Also replace throttle position sensor

Also helps transmission shifts
I was having trouble with my transmission up shifting too fast, there is vacuum lines going to your 545 rfe transmission, when this valve starts going bad your engine may stall at idle and also the transmission will upshift early. This valve is easy to install unless it’s corroded into the throttle body like mine was. I bought a used throttle body for 30 dollars and installed it. Worked great.
