Music that makes you want to dance!
Excellent music! Very good mix of songs. Many were a faster pace, great for shimmies. Only one or two were slower songs so keep that in mind if you want to dance to slower music, this may not be the CD for you. Enjoyed that the songs had changes during the song to pacing and rhythm, which means the dancer can mix up movements quite a lot. Safaa's singing in the songs is wonderful also, and he has a lovely voice. My only (small) complaint is that when the CD is inserted into a disc drive, there are no names for the songs or artist that pops up on the CD reader info. Had to keep consulting the back of the CD case to see what the names of the songs were.Wish also there was a translation of the lyrics to English, but I suppose that is just me being picky.Over all very top quality songs, very enjoyable music (even if you're not dancing). Talented instrumentalists and vocals both.

Great CD!
Sukara is a great collection Egyptian belly dance music. What I like best: there is singing on each track! Belly dance recordings often leave out the actual words -- glad this one didn't! There is also a nice baladi (good ones are hard to find) and a really nice folk song I haven't heard anywhere else. I definitely recommend purchasing this CD and I look forward to buying more from Leila.

Great CD
This is a great CD for raks sharki beginners. I am a beginner and the tempo is just right to get a feel of the movements that your making and to be more confident in your dance. Song # 7 on the CD is also in Leila's Beginner Belly dance DVD.

Bravo!
This is a fantastic CD for classic style bellydancers. I listened to it over and over again and will continue to do so many more times.

Sultry beats and rhythms
Sultry and sensual decadence of rhythms and taxim!!!! You will dance for hours. Track two is my very favourite: Esmaouni (listen to me)

Great Egyptian Music!
I really like this album; it's good from start to finish. It includes earthy beladi songs, a great saidi, and more formal sounding Om Kalthoum and Warda pieces. The recording was done right: no drum machine. I really enjoy the tabla/doumbek player. He's right on with his accents. He compliments the music well without overpowering the melody. Also, some of the songs on this album have a number of rhythms changes that are good for a drummer or dancer to practice along with. The accordion player and singer are also very enjoyable to listen to. If you're looking for orchestral or instrumental-only music, this album is not for you. As a westerner, I don't think I would have fully appreciated the accordion, beladi style, or singing in this album back when I first started listening to Arabic music. But now I love it!

Classical Egyptian gets to your soul
I purchased this Cd after falling in love with her first album "Leila presents Helwa, Egyptian Bellydance Music". This album is just as good as the first but with more singing.Theres only 2 tracks that are purely instrumental. When I listen to the music it reminds me of watching a dancer in Cairo on stage with her live band. The music has that sort of, "live" sound to it. Beautiful, soulful Egyptian music. Almost every dancer I know already has this in her collection and uses it regularly.
