Practise first
I bought these for a recent trip where we were walking on a river bed so only needed one each. I’m not used to folding sticks so I had to look up how to put them up as there’s no instructions in the bag. Once I’d done it though it was pretty straightforward however I did write down step by step instructions. They’re really light and fold up quite small so they fit in our tiny rucksacks. We only used the normal tip which is pretty much worn out due to rocks and hard ground but it still works fine. I love the bag they come with but it’s a bit large and unnecessary to take abroad so I’ll just keep it for fell walking. Overall though they’re really good, lightweight and great value for money

Fantastic folding sticks
These poles are really nice to use. If you buy them you need to realise that there is a video included on the main page showing how to access the hidden button to secure them in place. It literally could not be easier and one silly wotsit returned them because they hadn’t familiarised themselves with what they were buying. They are long at the length at which they won’t minimise any smaller, but I am 5 ‘ 6” and the length suits me very well. I reckon being 5’5” would be ok too. They are nice to pack away for an EasyJet flight - best of all strong wrist grip is not required to disassemble them. The rubber buffer is of good quality and I have stocked up with more Atacama buffers which I wish I had done initially.

Last a reasonable time
They work well and stay on your poles and last a reasonable time, ensure you measure the width of your poles for fit before purchase.

Very good set of trekking poles.
A very nice set of trekking poles in two parts, main part is two section telescopic and a bottom part that fits on. Well made, with clips to tighten to desired length. Being two part (instead of some poles that are three part) these are a bit longer at their shortest but I prefer this as its easier to put them together and no real difference when carrying them in a bag (three part poles are shorter but a bit bulkier).Overall 5/5 very nice, recommended. NOTE: I bought the aluminium ones.

Couldn’t make it work
Is it me? Just couldn’t make it work as I’ve never owned collapsible poles. It came in a shaggy box and had no instructions. I couldn’t work out the lock up mechanism so gave up and returned them same day. Purchase some other ones from a competitor made of aluminium. This ones brought instructions and was able to assemble immediately.

Hidden Locking Button
The media could not be loaded. I was very disappointed in how badly these poles stayed together when assembled, until, I read another review describing a hidden locking button. It's located on the shaft of the top silver pole section which slides into the black pole section displaying the height measurements. Firstly assemble all sections, slotting them together, don't worry about height adjustment just yet. Then, gripping tightly to the black section with the height markings, pull the top silver section away from the cork handle. It will take a bit of effort. The lock button will appear & pop out to keep all the sections firmly together. Shame the instructions weren't included with the poles, would be very helpful.
