Global G-668/10-10-Pocket Chef's Case

My Fiance was cool enough to get me a set of Global Knives for my Birthday. The knives are incredibly sharp, and fun to chop, and slice with. The knives are way too sharp to store in a cabinet drawer, and the butchers block from Global was expensive, and a bit overkill for Three or four knives. So my solution was to get this knife Portfolio. The portfolio keeps the knives from banging together, and stores the knives saftley with a lot of room to grow. The Portfolio also has a place to store honing and sharpening steels. All in all the Portfolio does it's job, and I'm very happy with it.

Very nice, well-made carrying case to keep all of your expensive kitchen cutlery safe. The bag is made from very nice heavy gauge fabric and stitched very nicely. This case will serve anyone for many many years! I would recommend it for anyone that need to travel with their kitchen cutlery.

I bought this for my son who will enter Culinary school in the spring. He was delighted with it. I bought this one based on the fact that he has and likes global knives. It appears sturdy and has plenty of room for his knives.

Gift for my boyfriend who is a sous chef in a kitchen and he loves it! says its perfect for his knifes even has a pocket on the inside and a place for his pens.

Not the quality I was expecting. The bag is cheap material, and the zipper never seem to work. I'm Not happy.

I admit it my husband and I are knife snobs. We cook a lot at our friends' houses since our house is too small for entertaining. When we do this we usually bring our own knives. So it serves the purpose of being able to safely transport our knives every month or so. If I was going to use it more often (daily) I think I would look for something that held the knives a bit more securely and had a shoulder strap. But for us it does what it needs to do!
