Botswana: Choice and Opportunity: A Memoir 1963 to 2018 Paperback – Illustrated, 11 Jan. 2020

I have to confess that I have met Sandy Grant on several occasions. Great company and a source of great stories, many of which are presented in this lovely memoir. I just keep on dipping into it and enjoy everything. The stories about Schap, Sheila Bagnall, Odi Weavers, Van Rensburg, Chief Linchwe, the Botswana Society, and finally (so far!) the correction to my knowledge about the builder and designer of the Khama Memorial – Herbert Baker was not the famous architect of New Delhi and Pretoria, but another Herbert Baker, who was the foreman of the builders who worked on it.
