For making a spindle tapering cutter
Plan to make a cutter for tapered spindles for chair making. All are quite sharp and have hardened cutting edge. Great buy.

all blades had the temper almost completely removed from the factory sharpening process. I made a simple spokeshave and tried to use one of the blades for kicks and it dented trying to take a light pass off a corner of soft maple. do not buy, complete waste of money.

Sharp and heavy duty
I am using these to shatter slate. They are working well.

Untempered due to apparent overheating
All six blades arrived with discoloring suggesting the temper was removed somewhere in the process. Probably when grinding the edge. These are not expensive enough to be worth returning so I'll just look for replacements.
