I recently got an industrial machine for bag making. I’ve used SCHMETZ for my domestic machines for years. These were shipped quickly and are good quality. Groz-Beckert needles are good too, and a little cheaper. I like that the GB plastic containers snap together and are fully encased. The SCHMETZ don’t have covers, and that’s my only complaint.

Exactly the right size for sewing on a Sailrite LSZ-1 with heavy (135wt equivalent) Tenara thread. If you are the one in a million who’s trying to use this setup, the trick is to rotate the needle 20° clockwise, so the thread properly loops for the sewing machine hook).

Nothing more, nothing less.
