Does what it claims, simple, easy, and clean. No messing around, good joints every time.
Constructing lighting effects for theatre group. Many tiny solder joints on smd boards. Until I found this, I had to rely on flux paste, which is clumsy and messy and you *cant* keep the workpiece clean.Cannot recommend highly enough.

First time using rosin other than that in flux-cored solder.
They seem to help significantly, though my main action to ensure easy soldering has always been mechanical preparation of the surfaces. Combining this with the rosin pen does seem to speed the wetting of the surfaces. I suspect the amount of rosin present may be small, but just enough.

Not good
Struggled to get any flux out of these pens as the tips just don’t work and when I did manage to finally get some out it really didn’t help the solder flow at all

Very easy to use
Super easy to use flux pens - i've used 2 out of the 5 so far without any problems and have been able to apply just enough flux for a repair. I'm pretty heavy handed when it comes to flux paste so these pens have been a massive help to me.

Just the job
Made soldering very easy when applying to the circuit board

Not recommended
Nowhere near as good as the MG Chemicals pen that I used to use. If you can get the flux out, it's good but typically as soon as the flux starts to flow, it almost flows out of control. Very soon after, there's no more flux in the pen.Update (27 April): I opened up three in a row and barely any flux came out of them. Absolutely a waste of money.

Instant evaporation - Tip is basically a rock non-absorbent
Spend a bit more and/or wait a bit longer but buy the Kester brand. This is evaporates 1 second after you apply it. It stinks like nothing Ive ever smelled. The tip is basically either flow On or Off and when its On, the flow is free flow. Rubbing alcohol doesnt even evaporate this quickly.

Love flux pens vs applicators...
Easy way to apply flux... flux is a bit watery, but it works just fine.
