Decent syrup, bit expensive, taste a bit caramelly for me
I thought this syrup was OK. I am marking it down a star based on the price - taste balance. I appreciate taste is a personal thing. My wife agrees with me tho.

Tasty but not thick enough
47° North Canadian Organic Single Press Maple Syrup is really tasty. We love it with pancakes or trumpets for breakfast. It is not too sweet and still full of flavor. Yummy. My only regret is that it is very watery, not thick enough. I would prefer it to stay on the food rather than on the plate.Despite the consistency, it is still a very good and tasty maple syrup.Thank you for reading my honest and unbiased review, I hope you found it helpful! :)

Not as robust as I expected, and not as thick, but a lovely, not overly sugary topping.
This is perhaps the most authentic maple syrup that I've tasted that hasn't been gifted to me by someone who's come over from the US or Canada. There's definitely a difference between what we usually get in the UK and stuff that's sold there, and this is a very good alternative if you don't want to pay huge shipping costs. It's far superior to the mass-market stuff that's sold in UK supermarkets, but yes, you pay a premium price. Here, it's money well spent. It's quite a bit darker in the bottle than on a spoon or plate - once poured, it looks like golden syrup but doesn't have that sticky, gloopy texture that goes everywhere. This pours cleanly and is quite a thin syrup for the colour, but I prefer that, as it's not cloying. I'm not a pancake fan, but I have tried this in coffee - you get the smoky flavour on top of the coffee flavour but you don't get overpowering sweetness. I'm a diabetic and need to limit refined carbs and sugars, and yes, this is pure carbs but a little goes a long way. It doesn't come with a dropper lid, so take care when pouring!

Maple syrup perfection
I was introduced to maple syrup decades ago when it was difficult to find in Britain. I visited Canada a few years ago and returned with a supply of Grade A syrup from a single source. This syrup matches that expensive stuff I bought in Canada. It’s superb. This is dark and has a rich, deep flavour. It’s not over sweet and you really don’t need much to get the taste. I love it with waffles and a couple of teaspoons is enough; it really is intense in flavour. I also like it with pancakes and a drizzle poured over smoked streaked bacon. It’s delicious. Or a few drops on any cream will take it to a different level.A good maple syrup shouldn’t be cloyingly sweet. It’s unlikely to be cheap and this bottle I think is really good value. Much better than most of the commercial brands more widely available. I love it.

Fantastic taste and quality
I didn't know that there were different grades or flavours of Maple Syrup. I like the flavour of this one, as it is not as sweet and doesn't taste artificial. It has more depth to the flavour. It is fantastic for putting on pancakes and also on porridge. This is reasonably priced for the quality. I don't know how authentic it is, as I've not had real Canadian Maple Syrup before. This is nice, and tastes great though. I would definitely buy it again.

A true maple syrup with complex flavours and not too sweet
There are so many variations on maple syrup and a lot of what you see in the shops in the UK isn't really maple syrup, or at least not something that true Canadians would see as maple syrup. This, though, is the real deal: there is a complexity and depth to the flavour that makes this a completely separate experience than other syrups you may have tried. First, it's not particularly sweet, certainly it does not have a cloying sugariness; second, it has a strong almost woody flavour, not surprising I suppose given it's from maple, but a surprise if you haven't tried 'real' maple syrup before. You don't need much of this syrup, a smallish dash on some pancakes imparts the lovely flavour. It's fairly runny, so mind how you pour it.Overall, an exceptional maple syrup, really top notch stuff.

Maple syrups can taste different, who knew?
I'd always assumed that one maple syrup would be very much like another. I also thought different grades just meant whether it had bits of bark in it or not. How wrong I was! This one is graded as 'DARK - ROBUST TASTE' and that's interesting because I wouldn't agree that it it robust in a coffee-type sense, where robusta are the cheaper, more bitter beans. There is no sense whatsoever that this is a bitter taste. What it is, is less cloyingly sugary. You get the sweet maple wood sure, but it's fresh and crisp too. I guess the robust really refers to the taste being much more upfront and present. This is a strong maple syrup taste and all the better for it.Good stuff, an instant favorite in this house, where we will be cranking up the waffle machine even more regularly.

Delicious in baking
I've been using this in my healthier bakes and really like it. It's much richer and darker than normal maple syrup, much less sickly sweet too. I've been using a teaspoon in my protein waffle batter and it's just enough to give it a rich, sweet flavour without being overpoweringly sickly. A little goes a long way and is much nicer than regular maple syrup. It's easy to pour, the glass bottle stays clean and it's organic - great value for organic, quality maple syrup!
