The Miraculous Night Journey: Al Isra Wa Al Miraj

I am the author of this book. I felt it necessary to respond to the reviewer who identified themselves ‘M,’ due to the serious statement made in their review. Unfortunately, Amazon has removed the option to respond to reviews, so I am writing to clarify.I want to reiterate that I used the renowned classical Islamic Scholarly text Ash Shifa, by Qadi Iyad, as the resource for re-telling the story of the Prophet’s (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) night journey and ascension.For those unfamiliar with this text, it is written by one of the most prominent scholars of his time (6th century Hijra). The text has been widely accepted through the centuries as one of the most comprehensive and authoritative books about the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace).Even though I a reliable source, I nevertheless had Sh. Umar Abdullah’s wife, also a scholar, review the manuscript in its early stages. I then additionally had Sh. Hatim Yousef, review the final draft. Sh. Hatim kindly read it through himself and went through it page by page with me.Not many children’s books receive this level of review.I have listened to various scholars’ lectures and read several seerah books on the account of the night journey, and I have yet to hear/read anything that contradicts the account I have written.I urge anyone with any doubts about this book or any other Islamic book to contact the author with specific details. Books can be edited, and I’m sure most authors would not want to be responsible for distributing anything inaccurate.

Highly recommend this book for kids. Its illustration is amazing and simple writing. Great word selection and full of respect.

MaShaAllah, excellent book! What I like the most is that the author used reliable sources to write and fortify her work. She drew the information from none other than the Shifaa of Qadi Iyad MaShaAllah!

I wouldn’t recommend this book unfortunatelyThe ending is inaccurate which is sad as kids will be learning from this book. I wish the authors could have done a little more research before teaching it to kids
