Raw Natural Oregon Hazelnuts in Resealable Bag, 1 Lbs (1 Pack)

Every year since I was a little girl, I’m now 73, we had what we called Filberts during the Christmas season along with Satsumas and oranges. For the past few years they’ve become harder to find in any grocery store. This year I decided to see if they were available online and, lo and behold, here they are on Amazon. The many sellers made it a challenge for me to pick which one to choose. Next I had to consider another issue. My hands. For the past few years I have lost cartilage in my thumb joints making it difficult for me to do normal things and which has caused me considerable discomfort. So, after careful consideration, I decided to purchase the shelled hazelnuts. Still, I needed to choose which company to buy from. I chose Anna and Sarah. It was definitely the right decision. I began with the one pound bag not knowing what to expect. When they arrived, I opened the bag and reached in. To my delight they were delicious. Like every bag I’ve ever bought before this there were a couple of not so great ones that didn’t taste very good but this is expected with any variety of nut. Before I finished the first bag, I ordered another only this time around I purchased a 2 pound one. It finally arrived today much later than expected probably due to the Christmas buying season but this bag will last me through the season. These are just as fresh and delicious as my first bag. If I’m still around next year, I’ll be ordering again from Anna and Sarah to enjoy my Filberts along with my backyard oranges and Satsumas.

I never write reviews but feel compelled. I have been searching the internet for nicely price and delicious hazelnuts and these are it. Basically 10.00 a pound and these are delicious hazelnuts. I have looked all over and tried a bunch of different sites but these are fantastic. Excellent quality and size on the nuts and truly great tasting. and organic. You cannot go wrong with these and they come in a resealable bag. I just re-ordered a bag - these are amazing. I cannot share a photo because they are all gone!

I was so disappointed. My favorite nuts to snack on are raw Oregon hazelnuts. I used to buy them at Trader Joe's, but Trader Joe's suddenly stopped carrying them. I was so excited to find Anna and Sarah 3 lb bag of Oregon hazelnuts. The nuts had a good "best by" that was a year into the future. The nuts appeared well packaged. I kept the sealed, unopened bag refrigerated until I was ready to sample them. The size and appearance of the hazelnuts DID NOT match the flavor. The nuts were a good size, but they were not fresh and they were not flavorful. Some of the nuts were simply not flavorful while others were downright stale. I was so very disappointed. My quest for tasty, FRESH Oregon hazelnuts at a fair price continues.

If you like to eat hazelnuts on the go or if you like to bake a moka or any other gourmet cake, then do not hesitate, choose this US brand. The dry fruits are from Oregon, but packed in New Jersey. The packet contains 454 gr of these jumbo hazelnut (quasi one pound) and its special lock garanties their freshness. Yes, these hazelnuts have such an aroma!!! Especially if like me you roast them 11 minutes in the oven at 356 F: OMG, what a sudden nice and nutty scent in the house!!! Then you can put them in a cloth and take the peel out. Once you are done, pour the roasted hazelnuts in your Blender...to obtain a delicious spread!!! Look at my praliné on the picture up above. These are absolutely delicious and...affordable! I am so happy to have bought them in particular. It is difficult to find hazelnuts that have a decent size and taste. They are easy to work with and were so tasty in my choco cake up above! These are just perfect and remember that eating nuts moderately everyday I is very healthy!

The nuts came on time and were fresh. I transferred them to quart jars and froze the ones I didn't eat the first day. I take the jars out of the freezer the day before I want to start eating them and put them on my coffee table. I am about in the middle of the 5 pounds now, and they still taste fresh as when they came about three weeks ago. The hazel nuts are on the left, next to the peanuts.

This is my second order. First one was great. This bag seems by taste to be old. They are darker in color and flavor not nearly as good. Date is (best by March 2026) but I can’t eat them
