The New Munsell Student Color Set 6th Edition

This is a high quality, comprehensive textbook about color use and science. It includes, but separates into two parts: the ways to use color, and information and vision and perception. Highly illustrated with interactive charts and color chips. Some of the negative reviews perplex me. For example, there is an example of a completed Hue chart in the book, with thorough instructions; the past problems with the color chips fraying has been corrected; this edition uses better paper, and information has been condensed. It is important to only buy a new copy of the book, not a used copy, and only buy from Amazon and only this edition. Secondary sellers often describe books as "New," when to them they look new, not because they are new.

I followed a previous comment's advice and ordered a new book filled by Amazon. As best as I can determine I received all the correct contents. The color chip pages are in perfect condition.

I'm sure this is a wonderful book, but it came with NO COLOR CHIPS at all, NO COVER, only HALF THE INTERACTIVE CHARTS, and NO SPIRAL BINDING. It was just loose papers. BTW, I ordered directly from amazon and still had this problem. The hassle to return it is not worth it. Amazon has been alerted many times that this book is problematic and missing parts, but they don't bother to correct it with the supplier.I hate to give anything a 1 star review, but this is the worst order I've received from amazon. The papers (not a book) are totally useless because the chips aren't included so you can't do even one exercise. Does not match the description at all. Photo doesn't match what was sent, does it?

The media could not be loaded. Really useful book. Good quality print and the chips are intact. I know that the 5th edition had problems with the chips being stuck together but in this edition they are on separate pages and not stuck or stacked.See the video for details.

Hard for me to arrange all the little shade chips but I did it!

I did a comparison between the Big Book, which I own, #4 and #6 edition student books. #4 chips are much closer to the Big Book than #6. ***Also #4 seems to have all the chips matching the Big Book. On 5R, for instance #4 offers all the chips, while on #6, some were missing. (not that the edition was missing chips, but they were actually not printed on the page). The content in terms of information is pretty much the same, but I like how it is organized better on #6 actually.
