Lightweight, folds compact, great summer beret!
A bit overpriced but the Parkhurst berets are a lightweight cotton that provides just the right amount of cover and warmth on a cool summer morning or under a rain jacket hood. You can fold it up and stuff it in your pocket with little bulk. This size is great for providing eye-shade. Do not put it in the dryer if you handwash it. Well-constructed by the knitters who made the Canadian Armed Forces berets.

PARKHURST BERETS R THE BEST IN COTTON BERETS!
PARKHURST is what I look for in a cotton beret! The wool berets can be itchy. Cotton keeps my hair from sweating and is much lighter. Sometimes I forget I have it on. Great for 'bad hair' days! Ive owned Pankhurst berets & hats for decades. I sometimes give them away bc they make great gifts. Yes they are expensive and it's difficult to find one that isn't expensive, but you pay for what you get! I highly recommend Pankhurst berets!

Comfort that lasts
Durable--lasts for years, if you care for it and don't throw it in with the hot water wash and dry it. Air dry it for longest life. I have dozens of these.

Nice fabric and hat – but not really your classic French beret look.
I have a small head and this hat fits fine, at least for now, I just opened the package. However, the way it sits on my head is not like any other beret I've worn. I haven't had a cotton beret before. I like the fabric, but perhaps because of the weight of the fabric, lighter than the wool and acrylic and I've worn in the past, it's not a smooth look. Wrinkles and ridges are created and therefore it doesn't actually have the appearance of a French beret. It's definitely not for cold weather (as in Minnesota). I wanted a lightweight hat that I could wear spring, summer, fall. For example, for bad hair days. When I just want to zip out for something and not deal with my hair. Not sure whether this will work for that purpose. I can't seem to get this hat to set on my head in a way that I think improves my appearance! Also I wanted hats that do not collect dog hair as easily as Wool and synthetic fabrics. So we'll see if I actually wear this hat and come to like it.

Exactly as expected
Been wearing berets since I was 3 years old (and that's a long time ago). I have 3 different colors of this exact hat. Parkhurst of Canada has been my favorite brand and navy my favorite color for several years. Love the slouchy fit. I was sad to lose my fav recently and immediately ordered this one to replace it. Have ordered from this shop before. Very timely delivery and hat exactly as expected. My go-to shop for Parkhurst berets.
