PDA in the Therapy Room

This wasn't nearly as helpful as I was hoping it would be
I ended up having to buy a different book because the information that this one provided was quite basic. If you've worked with kiddos for a long time, you likely will know the bulk of the information in this book.

Insightful, valuable, interesting.
I'm a 1-1 tutor to a child with PDA and purchased this book as it was rexxomended as a good primer to PDA.I found it valuable for this and found it didn't focus too much on 'therapy' (besides therapy is a broad category from OTs to play therapists to speech and language therapists - so the suggestions are applicable broadly). PDA is an enigma for sure but this book helped me become more confident for starting my new job and I often refer back to it when I reflect on my past day to think of strategies to do things differently. It's not too wordy but very informative and is definitely a Bible for those working with PDA.

Informative guide to understanding PDA
Valuable resource as a teacher to have in my professional 'toolbox' / library.Practical strategies to implement for challenging students.Parents of children with challenging behaviours will also find this book highly useful.

lightbulb moment
As a parent and therapist thus book provided such a depth of understanding about my child. pDA is such a confusing ND - but the first chapter enabled me to finally ‘get’ my child.Thank you for this book. I have recommended it to his care providers In The hope of avoiding a lot of wasted time which would just aggravate him further….
