Fun to read but almost embarrassingly hostile to business
The book is fun if you want to see how emotionally riled up the Left is over the world's use of energy. Prior to reading this book, I did not know much about Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Now I am aware just how ridiculous his views are and amazed that so many educated people can present themselves to the world as angry children. This author is filled with hate and contempt for the hydrocarbon industries and probably wants the world give up oil and gas cold turkey, come what may. Fun, but childish dribble.

Death by the Fossil Fuel Oligarchy or Life
The global warming Armageddon may now be too late to stop. But we sure shouldn't be expediting its coming for the benefit of a few sadistic cash gluttons at the expense of everyone and everything else on earth. And even perhaps the demise of these irrational sociopaths themselves if they live long enough but certainly the demise of their eventual progeny depending on the speed of the ensuing carnage. Or perhaps the natural world will exist but become an aesthetically degraded dystopian nightmare that no sentient person would ever want to exist in. Either case being a veritable death in terms of what life is meant to be or if it will continue at all.The science is in: Global Warming is Real and a Pestilential Storm is Coming. It is therefore pure insanity not to act to correct humanity's errant ways in order to provide a largess to an insane, psychopathic oligarchy. And correcting the problem isn't even a sacrifice but rather a solution that will improve all life on the planet aesthetically, health wise and economically.Thank you so much Dick Russell for laying out the plain facts whereby it is obvious for even a child to understand that the people of the world are being deceived by the same machinery that gerrymanders voting districts, produces 24/7 fake news, hacks elections, uses artificial intelligence with computer technology to brain wash, lies, steals and most of all bribes the hell out of government officials and citizens into betraying the constitution and the people protected by it. This with the most dire ramifications to the entire world a proven result. Again, all for the insidious greed of a crazed minority.Listen, if the oligarchy was stealing the wealth of the world by selling counterfeit handbags or another sundry sort of pilfering, well, it would be bad but we could endure it. Unfortunately the raging greed genes of these culprits is threatening life on earth in its entirety - NOW.Dick Russell has laid it all out in this book. So now all of us with a moral compass must immediately fight this menace with our every available means. Unless, we're just going to go down quietly or pass out the Jim Jones after dinner drinks. There is no middle ground to this inimical disaster to straddle. We must choose either: Death by the Fossil Fuel Oligarchy or Life. Come on people.

War, Conquest, Pestilence and Death are not just ...
War, Conquest, Pestilence and Death are not just metaphors but rather the Four Horsemen as described in the Book of Revelation and real human descriptives appropriately applied as oil and energy sources define bottomless greed and power pursuits. In the Introduction Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. wrote of "a battle to protect our waterways, our livelihoods, our property..." It is a defensive war against toxic and economic aggression by Big Oil and King Coal.Artic sea ice is at its lowest level ever and may soon disappear. Fish struggle to breathe as ocean oxygen is depleted. Extreme drought plagues large swaths of Europe, California and Canada. Water shortages exist amid predictions of rising sea levels, flooding, intense pockets of heat, forest fires, proliferation of germs and infectious diseases.Evidence of all the above is not reliably disputable but corporate propaganda continues to pervade our classrooms as relentless fundingcontinues unabated from the likes of the Koch brothers, the American Petroleum Institute, ExxonMobil, BP, Shell, trade associations and many others. And so it goes.

Absolute Required Reading !
I cannot say enough about how important this book is . . . Brilliantly put together by Dick Russell; Forward by David Talbot; Introduction by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. If you read only one book about what is taking place in America today, as well as the planetary environmental crisis, this should be your choice. I can almost promise you that you won't regret it, but it will likely upset you, AND IT SHOULD !

A must read for anyone with a mind, heart, and care for humanity and life-forms in general.
I have the Kindle and Audio books and will now buy the paperback. I find that this book hits upon those ideas I've tried to cover on my web site, but the book does it right. I highly recommend it for a short recap of climate deception by the fossil fuel industry. It goes into more depth on the Koch brothers, Peebody Coal, Exxon, and other personalities and corporations than found elsewhere, I believe.I read too the North Korea now has a nuclear bomb. This symbolizes for me the continued failure of American politics to effectively deal with threats to our nation and life on Earth as well. So the greatest nation on Earth ignored the moment of ending the potential for a nuclear holocaust while denying the reality of human caused global warming. The Climate Deception Dossiers found at the Union of Concerned Scientists lead to my final turn to cynicism from mere skepticism in terms of human corruption. (See A Perfect Moral Storm: The Ethical Tragedy of Climate Change (Environmental Ethics and Science Policy Series) We know now that humans will willingly, knowingly destroy the conditions of life on Earth for the benefit of a small select group of select millionaires and billionaires. Hitler should not have surprised us anymore than Stalin or Pol Pot. Exxon as Rex Tillerson as Trump and the rest belong to the same ilk, just in camouflage as corporate leaders.Horsemen of the Apocalypse adds to the Dossiers, but in an easy expansion of the social, cultural, and political-economic deceptions at work in this age of derangement. Also see the free climate science history book by Spencer Whart by doing a google search for The Discovery of Global Warming (Spencer Whart). The books I note here I strongly recommend for the concerned citizen and parents in general. We need to be aware, informed, and concerened.eddie evansClimateDeception.Net
