This book brought the lives of those saints into context, gave them a real background. I needed this book to study living in integrity through a Celtic Christian Spirituality course, just what the doctor ordered....

Having just been to Lindisfarne, I just had to have a book about them, and David Adam is such a good writer. His love of the Celtic Church shows in all his books.

bought this book because I wanted to get to know more about the Celtic Saints. David Adam attempts to "fill in" what is not known with what is known to make a readable narrative about the saints lives. On the whole a good read.

Even better than I had expected. So much history in this book, and it makes you think how lucky we are this all started.

Interesting history of 3 early English saints. After traveling in Yorkshire last summer, it brought an added dimension to some of the areas I visited.
