Bates Men's 5" Tactical Sport Side Zip Industrial Shoe

Needed something comfortable but yet light and can take a beating. I got these Bates boots. Their great so far, feels good on my feet and back due to i walk on concrete floor all day. They also breath better for your feet, just what I needed 😌

Ordered these to replace a pair of worn out lightweight danners for summertime duty. They are decent boots but I have 2 critiques......1) they run almost a full size large, which makes online ordering tough. I normally wear an 11 and my foot was swimming in that shoe. I returned for a 10.5 but probably should've done a 10. Also, the whole foot opening is huge, as if it were designed for someone with really fat feet.2) There is minimal arch support. I had to drop in a set of superfeet green and put the non supportive bates foot beds on top so that I had arch support and the extra room was taken up.3) I decided to keep them as a back up pair but wound up ordering another pair of danners.

Zipper works just fine. This is my go to work boot. Bates brand is a winner. I was a long time Wolverine user.

Bates boots are durable and comfortable. I usually wear the composite toe boots, but this time I ordered the soft toe and they don't disappoint. I can wear them all day at work and my feet aren't tired or hurting like some other boots I have worn in the past.

I always have trouble finding boots that are wide enough for my size 8EEEE feet to fit in. Bates seems to be the only company I have found that have several boots that fit, and feel very comfortable wearing. I received these boots Wednesday and wore them the very next day for my entire shift, and my feet did not feel tired or sore one bit.

I'm very pleased with these boots. Super comfortable and lite. Look good too.

I ordered these specifically because they were advertised as side zip. They were not.
