Hi sorry new to Keto but are these bars 8g of your 20g of carbs for the day? Isn’t that super high for a snack?!

Your Keto carb count depends on the individual. I know 20g is what you normally hear for HFLC Keto but that count is net carbs not actual carbs anyway. Whilst in the UK we give the carb count minus the fibre already we don't deduct polyols which aren't digested and can be discounted if they are Erythritol, Allulose, Stevia for example. Xylitol is a polyol but it has calories so it falls into the group that they say you should count half the polyol amount. Pulsin say the net carb count is 4 though. Either way it's not high for Keto and there are a lot more questionable Keto bars out. As for the 20g a day well people have been doing Atkins and Cambridge ketosis diets for years and they eat more than that. I did Cambridge on and off for years and the carb count was much higher and I never came out of ketosis once. I've even used Slimfast Vitality in the past to get into ketosis! It just depends how strict you are being and that keeping it super low means you can use things like Lindt 90 or 85% cocoa chocolate and get away with it and those still have sugar in and are often part of keto recipes. Cambridge always used the rule no bars for first 2 weeks to allow you to get into a stable state of ketosis (the things in those bars make me cringe now!) but after that you could have 1 bar a day and it cause no issues. They even bought out a porridge and again no issue for ketosis. But with those diets you are following specific meal replacement values. I must admit these are great for convenience and taste really good to me but that's an issue as I like them too much! No where on packaging says net carbs. And based on the 8.6g carbs - 9.3g of fibre the net carbs would be less than zero?

Hi, thanks for taking an interest in our brand, please see answer below from our nutritionists, "In the UK/EU fibre is not included as part of the Carbohydrate total, unlike in America, where total carbohydrate includes the fibre. Therefore, you don’t need to subtract the fibre from the 8.6g of carbs. However, of the 8.6g of carbohydrate, 4.5g is as polyols, which do not contribute to increasing blood sugar and therefore we would say that there are 4.1g of impact carbohydrates per bar."
