Delicious and fresh but, caution is advised...
Firstly, google the health benefits of fungreek [they are numerous].Secondly, fenugreek is one of those spices that you cannot deal with like other spices. These little seeds are hard as rocks and unless you want to ruin your spice-grinder, I'd highly recommend you follow my procedure for using fenugreek:Well, to begin, fenugreek is actually a legume (so, if you are prone to gastro problems with beans and legumes then you might want to take a beano or equivalent supplement before ingesting fenugreek). If you want the benefits of raw fenugreek seeds. Put 1/4 cup of fenugreek seeds in a 2 cup or so capacity container and add 1/2 cup boiling water and let steep for an hour, place steeped fenugreek covered in fridge overnight and you will have some lovely, slightly chewy, less bitter fenugreek that you can add to soups and stews or eaten by the spoonful as a health supplement. One thing you will notice, is, when you add hot water to fenugreek, they will not only soften, but, they will sprout out little tail-buds which makes them sort of mid-sprout and highly digestible. If you want to fully sprout fenugreek, you can google for many techniques. If you only want to sprout this fenugreek, I'd say this is highly sproutable since even adding boiling water to the seeds did not stop them from sprouting little sprout ends.Warning: If you 'toast' fenugreek it will stink up your house to high hell and it takes days and days to get the odor out of your house and if you are planning on selling your home, you do NOT want to toast fenugreek!Anyway, my husband hates fenugreek and I love it with a passion. I think fenugreek is one of those love or hate spices. In closing, this fenugreek is very high quality, fresh and definitely sproutable!Happy fenugreeking! lol

Absolutely terrible quality
The first issue was that I placed several orders of this product at once due to price for quantity. Whereas the sale is for 3 one Lb bags, I received only a single 1 Lb bag of an alternative brand on several occasions and had to reorder/wait each time. (I was however, permitted to keep the 1Lb bag <error> each time). I also faced multiple shipment delays. The biggest issue however, is the very poor quality of these seeds. They are obviously processed in an unnatural way and are definitely not organic. I noticed this when having had extreme/effortless success sprouting other brands without trying, and these hardly sprout at all with even great effort. You will get very few sprouts, a lot of slime, and far more bitter product. I usually soak some overnight, drink the water the next day, and eat the softened seeds. In comparison to other brands, the water from soaking this brand has an extra gross bitterness aside from the natural bitterness of fenugreek seeds and is extremely unpleasant. (Same with seed taste). I’ve provided some photographs of these and another fenugreek seed brand after a 3 1/2 day sprouting process. The photos wherein the sprouts are abundant are from the alternative brand of fenugreek seeds that I purchased locally. The photo with very few sprouts is this brand here—both the advertised brand and alternative brand that was sent in error. I used a sprouter (see pics) and processed these seeds in the exact same way together. You can see the difference in the sprouting success of THESE seeds-(few) versus my local store bought brand-(abundant). I am going to try one more process and will update. I will try rinsing more of these seeds extra well before the sprouting process to see if I will have any better luck. Otherwise as mentioned the seeds are abundant in slime content, which offers great moisture for direct application to hair and scalp. (Though I can’t testify of the healthiness due to everything else previously discussed). If I cannot get these to taste any better or sprout, I will preserve what’s left of these for hair masks and moisturizers. I cannot very well trust eating something that behaves unnaturally and tastes significantly more bitter than the healthier brands. I want to see if possibly a more thorough rinsing can rid the seeds of some of the possible (invisible) film that’s ruining their quality. Even in my online search, I did not find any information concerning what processing could cause these issues. Also I forgot to mention that these particular seeds are not letting off the typical maple scent, but more closely mimics a celery aroma, which is also bothersome. I did read online in a couple places (one easily found by through google search, other dug around for and found on a user forum) that a celery smell-mix is a normal fenugreek aroma. However I recall from my previous alternative brand usage as well as found in far more online articles, that these seeds should emit a maple syrup aroma, which will eventually begin seeping through the skin (pores) of the consumer. So I will be trying the method mentioned above and plan to update the details afterwards. Good luck
