Best for easy dishwasher cleaning,tenderising all meats, We use it for jerky so that the marinade soaks into the meat. Best one we have ever owned! The spring release blade models harbor bacteria but not this one, nothing to dissasemble, seper clean all the time! Looks like it is chromed but says stainless steel, washes great ,no rust, great quality.Great Price! I would buy again!

Used for multipurposes
This item was recommended for use on blueberries and strawberries before freeze-drying. it worked perfectly. While I have occasionally used it for meats, I use it mostly for fruits with canning and freeze-drying. it is very sturdy and strong the grip handle is good and it does not slip. I would recommend this product not only to meat lovers, but also for gardeners and canners.

I really like this product. It has worked well. It really does texturize meat very well. Cleaning is hard and I think something to clean in between each spoke would be a great thing to have. Meat gets entangled and it's a bit hard to clean.

Looks like a scrap project that was just weilded together!
This is nothing like advertised or pictured. It arrived bent up and spot welded together with unfinished sharp burs on handle. Holes at the base of each "nail" has tiny crevices that cannot be effectively cleaned due to tiny spacing at the base. The pommel all the way down to the nails (polished and deformed) Which look like carpenter nails. This is one heavy crude monstrosity that has no business being sold for its intended purpose. Take the advice of all the low reviews and spend your money on something better. It arrived bent up and rusted. It has metal burs all throughout its construction. It is not food grade quality. Nor can it be handled safely without getting bits of metal flakes in your food or you own skin. DO NOT PURCHASE. I don't recommend. This is an unsafe product that is not meant for any kitchen. There are better ones that actually have standards and better quality control.

Great for making tough or low fat steaks great
Poke holes in the steak, add big flake salt, flip and repeat. Wrap in wax paper and let sit on the counter for an hour then cook. It is consistently the best steaks I've ever had. Better than Longhorn, Outback, or any of those places. I almost can't even eat steaks in restaurants anymore because they are no as good as what I can make at home now.I highly recommend this meat tenderizer.Eric from Tennessee (not an automated review nor product promotion!)
