Real nice set of trimmers.
Typical Corona quality. Very sharp blades pretty well balanced, just a little heavy. Still a very good product especially for the price. Can’t beat Corona quality!

Great quality review by an Arborist
Better then I expected and you can't find these easy at the box stores.

Outstanding Shears: Suitable Not Only For Hedges & Shrubs, But Also Grass Clipping in Odd Spots
I am a huge fan of Corona's products and this one is no exception. These aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for and it's absolutely worth the price. These are heavy, two-handed shears that can be used to cut foliage, young twigs, and small / soft branches on shrubbery, and also can be used for grass. Although they are marketed as hedge shears, I actually bought them for use with grass and they are outstanding for that purpose. They are good if you want to use larger muscle groups (upper arms and back) and give a rest to your weaker/smaller grip/forearm muscles that you need to use one-handed grass shears. With these shears, I can cover a much larger area in a short period of time. I edged the entire back yard in 10 minutes, whereas with one-handed shears it would take twice that time. It is nearly fast as using power edging tools. They are heavy, which is good and bad. The tool is well-made and slides smoothly when you clip, but it is heavy so you will fatigue a bit, carrying these around. It's a good workout though. I find the heavy weight helps to have greater control when clipping.I haven't owned these long so I can't testify with 100% certainty as to the durability, but they feel well-made, and all but one tool I've ever bought from Corona has lasted pretty much indefinitely. One I have owned for 10 years now! The design of this is typical of the better-made of Corona tools; there are no plastic parts that can break off, only the plastic grips which are not essential to the functioning.I can't recommend these shears enough! I was waffling about buying them and within 5 minutes of getting out into my yard and putting them to use, I know I made a great choice with them.

Very stout but poorly balanced
Other reviews have mentioned the weight. They are not just 2.4 lbs. as listed in the specs. But, it's not just the weight. The shears are very poorly balanced. They feel heavier than they are. For them to feel balanced, one must choke up on the handles, which unfortunately takes away your leverage. Knowing immediately they would have to be returned, I did not use them. But they certainly seem substantial and would definitely last.

Review of Caron Shears
Wonderful tool. Very well made and extremely sharp.I read another person’s review who liked this tool very much, but said the shears were heavy. I agree, they are heavy, but think they will hold up well which was one of several of my requirements. I tried several other shears before settling on these. The others failed within a year or so and the last pair upon my first use.I purchased the small Carona sharpener at the same Time. It’s an amazing little tool which I’ve not needed to use on the new shears yet, but it work very well with other sharp edge tools that needed sharpening.

Straight blade is a must
I love the straight blades on these. I previously had the Fiskar ones, and they were near impossible to sharpen when the blades went dull. Ordered these and they’re 10x better. They do have a little weight to them, but because of that they feel superior in quality to what’s out there.
