Good tool once set up correctly
Taking a little time to sharpen the blade and setting the tool up correctly makes the spokeshave a pleasure to use. My blade was installed the wrong way round so removing it to put a sharper edge on it helped. Using a sharpening stone is a must and can be used to keep your chisels in good order too. The instructions supplied don't help, but there's plenty of good advice on YouTube. Quality and price are a good match for something that will only be used now and again.

Decent for the price
The spokeshave itself is perfectly fine, it's comfortable to hold, easy to use, easy to set up and adjust. The blades are something of a disappointment. They don't take an edge very well and the little cut out slots at the top for the adjustment screws are just too big and the blade waggles around.I've used the tool with a Stanley spokeshave blade in it and the difference is significant.

Cheap but workable
This is super cheap, the threads on the adjusters aren't all that confidence inspiring and the sole of the plane is painted. Why paint the sole? means it leaves paint and marks on the work.So the best thing to do with this is flatten off the sole and get rid of the paint, then take the blade out and sharpen the pretty crude grind out. The blade that came in it had a massive hollow it the bevel too....So you can make it work with a bit of work and it does work well enough for the home gamer but it's not a quality item out of the box.

Missing
The 4 spare blades were missing, can't seem to find anyone to contact as I don't want to return, just have the spare blades as advertised

Not the best spokeshave
Not the greatest it's very difficult to adjust as one of the threaded rods is slightly angled and the red cap is too small for the opening which also skews the blade a little. But after a bit of jiggery-pokery Ianaged to square it up. The sole was also covered in paint mostly which willark your wood and it took quite some time to remove it using wet&dry sandpaper glued to a flat surface.
