But the release is the “button” right above, and it slides. No need to push down at all.Rotate- Flip down lever behind holster at the pivot point > pull up on the wedge shape inside the square cut out. Hold the wedge up > You can rotate holster.Inside springs – Not really sure it would be needed, but if you can’t get a larger one in, you can use the alan/torqe wrench (mine was included) to unscrew the pivot unit from the back of the leg plate, then use a screw driver to loosen and move the spring units.Its hard to find holster for what i have. This one did list the regular a1 and listed other models that are the same size and shape of the COMPACT so I figured I would try this one first. Also liked the look.And it (A1 COMPACT) fits GREAT. No adjustment needed for me. The hdp 50 seems a little tight in the trigger guard area (not adjustable). It’s the size and shape of a 1911 – I think. But still fits.Belts are nice and thick.Holster and connection to leg plate also seem sturdy.I’m athletic build so the leg belts fit good with a little tightening.

Holster fits my Canik TP9SFX like a damn glove. Perfect draw and quick holster. My H&K p30L on the other hand, flops around in there like a fresh caught fish. Now I kinda figured the H&K would fit since it's almost identical dimensions to a USP which this holster claims to fit, but I guess it wasn't as close as I'd assumed. The indent in the trigger guard stops the retention latch from engaging. Plus, ya know... the floppiness.

It didn't work with my weapon.Doesn't fit at all.

My S&M M&P 9mm shield does not fit snug in the holster. Trigger guard lock barely holds gun in holster. I added homemade spacers to tighten up the fit.

I bought 2, plan to make out a Black Widow like outfit for a girl, except in pink+blk., no widow make, I'll have to get back with you'all on it when I get th photo set in.., so far, so good, so what..

I like the actual holster just fine, the latch for adjustable cant kept opening for the 2 shifts I wore it. No matter how much I adjusted the thigh straps the holster would not stay in place. I'm returning this item
