Money well spent
I’m terrible at following through with reviews. However, this one is worth the time. The stick is shorter than stock and loses the rubber bushing part of the OEM stick. The throw feels shorter and that annoying slop you get with the OEM stick is pretty much non-existent now. The shift knob feels heavy/solid and looks much cleaner than stock.Yes, you will most likely have to bore out the hole a little bit for it to fit properly onto the shifter, but, even if you have to purchase a drill bit, it’s still cheaper than going with the name-brand b&m. I used a 5/8 bit and some sand paper for a perfect fit.In closing, if you want to improve the drive quality of your manual Jeep without having to pony up the 650 for the b&m shifter and the 250 for the b&m shift stick/knob, then this is a great start.

Does not fit 2013 JKUR
Poorly designed as the clamp will not fit over the gear selector shaft. Bend in the shaft does not allow the vehicle to be shifted into reverse as it hits the center console. Returned a d replaced with the B&M 4200. Installing the B&M part took 10 minutes. DO NOT BUY!!!

No more play or bounce
Installed on 2010 Jeep JK. Got rid of the bounce that made jumping out of gear a regular problem. Now that I can firmly hold the shifter in place, there are less incidents of JOG. Easy to install. It's offset so that the knob is closer to the driver. This makes it so that I don't have to move my whole body to shift into 5th or reverse.Pricey for a shifter I guess, but it's good.

Good value, minor mod required
Installed on my 2014 JKUR. As others have noted, the hole that engages the transmission shift does need to be slightly relieved, as the fit is too tight. Otherwise the install is straightforward and there are numerous YouTube videos that provide good guidance. This stick is a bit shorter than the factory one, so throw is reduced. I actually wouldn't have minded if it was just as long as the original but this is fine. Feel is definitely improved and I'd recommend doing this mod before going all in with a B&M or Dorman replacement shifter. There is no shift pattern on the somewhat cheap looking ball. I opted to buy a nice aftermarket ball with a pattern - not because I need it but because others occasionally drive my Jeep and might not know where to find reverse. Incidentally, there aren't a lot of options out there with a 6-speed pattern and reverse to the lower right. I went with Speed Dawg.

Black shifter for manual jeep jk
Wow loved it. It is almost 1" shorter but does work. I replaced my factory stick shiftier because the factory gear shift is too close in 1st gear to my Atlas shiftier. But I did need to heat it up and bent it completely straight so my hand clears the Atlas shiftier. So my advice would be to completely remove the rod from the base since 4 rubber O rings are inside and would melt if you don't.I also like the ball knob it came with. Looks cool!I think it looks better than the factory! I do have a 1.75" body lift so you can find an adapter to correct how close the new shiftier is ti the console in 2 & 4th gear. But looks GREAT and a lot cheaper then B&M's. For what ever reason it feels like it's shifting better. Perhaps the rubber bushing in the original was really worn down. I have over 250K miles on my 2007 JK 2 door.Love the look!Would recommend as long as your Jeep does not look better than mine! LOL!!!The first two picture is OEM shifter and you can see the factory bend. On the new one i bent it completely straight but left the curve up. The following pictures are the new shifter after being bent so the shaft from the transmission mount is straight but bent slightly up.

Not for TJ
Purchased this because it matched the ridiculously over priced B&M shifter for the B&M precision shifter. Well it hits the rear of the shifter well in my TJ. Makes it difficult to shift into reverse and stay in reverse. I can not recommend this item to someone with a TJ..

very good product, why spend extra $100 for B&M.
Amazon sent me a clearly used part. But the handle worked great after i cleaned up the wood and gouges from a pry bar.

BEWARE! For almost 4 years all was fine, until it wasn’t.
In December of 2000 It installed rather easily and has seemed fine since then.However….On 8/13/2024 I was downshifting while navigating a round about intersection full of traffic when the handle broke into two pieces right in the middle of the top o-ring groove. The top two o-rings show significant wear from excess movement that lead to eventual failure. Pics explain it all.

tight!
take one look at the stock shifter guts and youll see why this is 110% nicer. havnt had a pop out of first gear yet lol... and just going threw a 6 speed with this in town is so nice. kinda wack, but kinda made me more conected while driving idk, the stock one is just terrible...

Garbage.
This does not fit my 2010 JKU shifter. It slid half way down the shifter and is now wedged on there. 40 minutes tapping 9t with a rubber mallet didn't help so I had no choice but to mallet it on as much as I can, set the screws (one of the shifter lock screws will no longer thread) and wait for it to come off. Most likely in a trail or somewhere else inconvenient.
