Originally I had in mind to just rub the my cast iron with this and just bake it. BUT, you don't really need this kinds of application stick because regardless you still need to use something to thin out the oil like a sponge or town so there can only be a very thin layer for baking the cast iron. So, my point is that you can pretty much buy any oil out there because you still needed to apply with your hand. But, it work.

This stick is so convenient and made seasoning the griddle so much easier and less messy!!! BUY IT!

It is easy to handle because of all the plastic. It melts very fast, even at low temps, so using it sparingly as suggested is tricky. It does get on the plastic so that when the lid is replaced it gets pushed onto the outside but that's easy enough to wipe off. It's okay but I'm getting through it real fast so I'll probably look for a cheaper alternative next time.

very easy to use. very easy to store so it is always there to use all the time. no reason to not season !

Stick arrived as a melted mess all over the packaging and is ineligible for return. Complete waste of money.

I ordered these back in the winter and they worked great on my cast iron cookware. I just recently ordered 5 sticks and all 5 melted and are no longer any good. You would think that the company would know that they would be in a hot truck or plane and pack them accordingly. They don’t even offer a return or a product complaint on these. The only way I can say anything is to write a review. So all 5 that was ordered was a complete waste of money.
