Much brighter than the lucas lights. LED on left.

These appear high quality. The rubber gasket is much improved over the original ones They have DOT lenses which may be a big plus with registration is some states. Otherwise they outwardly appear very much like the original lights. When lit, the lights are much brighter than stock ones with 1157 bulbs although they definitely have the LED appearance. They are 3-wire but one is simply a ground to be tied to the harness ground on fiberglass cars. The only issue with installation is that the mounting studs are on the centerline of the lights instead of being staggered to either side as on the originals - requiring new holes to be installed for installation.

The light was just right for my 1940 Plymouth. Almost a perfect fit. And they are very bright.

Wow...did these make a difference! I had numerous people tell me my tail lights were not working with the original lights, but you would have to be blind not to see these! They are an exact match to the original Lucas lights. I think with a little work, I could easily put the Lucas reflectors on these.

Perfect look aesthetically. The mounting studs were different from the incandescent version I had so I had to drill holes but other than that they look great and put out a lot of light vs the old bulbs.

This light is much brighter than one that uses standard bulbs. I suspect that it's even brighter than standard units using LED or halogen bulbs. Both the top and bottom halves of the light light up with both the parking and/or brake lights, but there is no ambiguity between the park and brake light function. The bad part is that the individual LED lights can be seen, so that the light is not uniform across the lens.
