Perfect replacement part for Venmar 40225 motor
This was a perfect replacement for my older Venmar 40225 air exchanger. Was an easy swap out, I cut the wiring harness off the old one and soldered on to this one, the whole job took less than an hour.

This motor saved me $1500 dollars to replace my old air exchanger.
My old motor burned out after 21 years of use. The company no longer makes the unit or replacement parts. I saw a review on Amazon that this motor would replace my old one. The only difference is the old motor as 1/15 hp and this one was 1/17 hp. Took the housing unit out and wired the new one in and working like a charm. The motor cost was approximately $140 and a new air exchanger would have cost $1600 . This is well worth the price and easy to install.

During work on the higher speed it is quite hot. The attached capacitor is quite big. Apart from that everything is ok :)

Exact fit for ERV100HC with Fasco 7190-1359 02101 motor
Exact replacement for a Fasco 7190-1359 02101 motor on a Broan ERV100HC, which the blower assembly was discontinued in 2016. Just have to dissassemble the fan unit, and then reverse the process. You'll need to splice the old motor harness connector onto the wires. For this specific ERV, you'll need some thermal transfer grease for the heat sink, and some single sided 1/8" thick foam tape to dampen/isolate the assembly.Remove the squirrel cage fans with a 1/8" long tee-handled hex wrench, through the blower opening. Rotate the fan to find the hole that aligns with the fan set screw. You may also need some penetrating oil to help break the fan free of the shaft which has probably corroded a little. It may also help to use some 320 grit sandpaper to remove rust/polish the shaft before removing the old fan.$800+ for a replacement blower assembly... $1000+ for a replacement ERV. Less than $200 and a little elbow grease for this motor, the tape and the grease. No brainer. Saved a lot of money, and only took about 2 hours total.

Worked for my Broan HRV100H motor replacement
I live up north and we recently saw temps in and around -10 to -30 for what feels like the past 2 weeks. Lots of frost on our windows indicating a moisture problem. Discovered our Broan air exchanger fan was seized up... a new HRV unit seemed to run anywhere between $600 for a cheap one on up. The complete Broan HRV fan assembly looks to run about $500 online.I found this motor which matches the Supco fan p/n 06946 or model 71902271 for around $115 I believe. Took me 3 days to get the part shipped to my house. While waiting I removed my old fan assembly from the Broan unit and sprayed the shafts and all screws with WD40. Once I received the new motor, i had it up and running again within 90 minutes. You will have to cut the old harness off the old motor and attach it to the wires on the new motor. Orange to orange, blue to blue, green to green, etc... not very hard. This motor also comes with a larger capacitor that fit the clip mount of the old capacitor. Its been installed for 36 hours and no issues so far. I will update if anything changes or if the unit fails prematurely. We run this unit about 9 months out of the year.

Fits VENMAR HRV CONSTRUCTO 1.5 Air Exchanger
Shipping was fast. I ordered it on a Saturday afternoon and it was delivered by Monday at 4 p.m.. Had it installed by about 8 p.m. Monday night. Here's my public service announcement:A local company had a $60 special for a furnace tune up/inspection. The technician noticed my air exchanger wasn't working. He told me Venmar was purchased by Broan and that there were no longer parts available to fix my Venmar air exchanger. He quoted $1600 to replace the existing unit. I decided to fact check that. The truth is Venmar was purchased by Broan-NuTone in 1995 and through at least the time when my home was built in late 2006, Broan-NuTone continued several air-exchange brands including Broan, NuTone, Best, vanEE, and Venmar. This replacement motor fits many brands and models! This Rotom R2-R462 and included capacitor nearly directly replace the GE motor: 5KCP84DFK143BP and capacitor found in my Venmar HRV Constructo 1.5 air exchanger. The capacitor is a larger oval shape than the old capacitor and wouldn't fit in the existing space utilizing the OEM capacitor bracket. I just used some zip ties and mounted it flat onto the motor. -see the pictureThe Rotom motor is quite and does it's job, time will tell how long it will last.It took me about five minutes to wrangle tools and then about five additional minutes to remove the black plastic box/blower motor assembly out of the air exchanger body. After the unit was out on the ground it took another 20 minutes to disassemble.Once the new motor came it took about 15 minutes to remove the wiring harness and capacitor mount from the old motor then splice the old wiring harness onto the new motor. From there it took about 45 minutes to reassemble the blower box assembly and figure out how the capacitor could be mounted. Part of that 45 minutes (maybe 10 minutes) was spent cleaning the crud/dust/dirt off the old blower cages, black box parts, and inside the air exchanger body. Lastly, it took maybe 10 minutes to put the black plastic box/blower motor assembly back into the air exchanger body. It's not "easy" but it can be done by one that is in possession of tools and some electrical and mechanical knowledge, skills, and ability. My advice would be to take a picture or two or maybe a video of each step when disassembling the unit. You might need a total of two hours to complete this project. I could tell the bearings in the old motor were shot when the shaft would slide back and forth about 3/8" of an inch.I also bought some new filters SV02300 for the unit. -see pictureGood luck with your repair! You can do it!!

No issues on the installation
This appears to be a direct replacement for the motor in my Venmar Solo 1.5 HRV. Easy to install for the most part. The only thing that required a specific tool was putting terminals on the wires, the original had a Molex type connector installed from the factory. Happy with the purchase.
