Great book!
I loved this book as an adult and it is also a great book for a novel study in the classroom. It is really a middle school-level book, but I did it with my fifth graders.

Good read
My 11 year old picked this up for her summer reading list. She needed some help with some of the words (definitions only). By the end of the book she was power reading through to find out what happened. I had her read to me numerous chapters, and I'm very happy to say that this helped motivate my non motivated reader into a moderately interested reader. The pacing was a bit slow, but picked up towards the end, and any reasonably smart kid will start picking up on some of the foreshadowing. A good overall read, but not in my top ten.

The book that started it all.
After reading this book like, 10 years ago, I spent all that time to find the other 2 and for the convinienve of Amazon I finally found them. Definitely worth readin if you love plot twists.

imagination of Mr Carman shines again
Once again I was gripped by a Patrick Carman book filled with people, action, places of his own creation which would never enter my mind. A strong beginning to an even stronger trilogy story. Oh by the way, I am over 60. Give me a good teen or children's book any day. Don't start this one unless you have the other two next to you.
