Prettie Girls The Kimani Doll

I bought this doll just for me and she looks amazing. Her face its very different from other brands. Her facial features are very soft face and her dark brunette hair is somewhat wavy. The clothes is ok but is not my type of clothes I would have give her. It honestly doesnt scream, wow. However, the clothes seems to be tailored to a high end quality kind of like a collectors item. As to the shoes well it's just a pair of blant boots. I wish they would've of put a different pair that went better with the girlie dress. Overall, she is about 10yrs old (when first released) and for her times she has articulation which it makes her perfect. (Not barbie made to move articulation)On the side note, if you are looking for something different than this doll is an amazing addition to anyone. Though the doll is pretty, much prettier in person, I can't give it five stars. Her joints are extremely stiff, and she has a weird arch in her back that makes her look awkward when you seat her. Also, when you do seat her her legs open, so it just looks so awkward...it's as though the arch was to make an illusion of a larger bottom... It's kind of weird looking on a doll and again it makes seating her look well, awkward... Lol

I bought this at Christmas to donate at my church where our "giving tree" had specific items local children had asked for. The donation slip I picked said "African American Doll" so I thought this one looked lovely. When it arrived, the doll's outfit was not a pretty dress, but a cut-off belly shirt with short-shorts and similar accessories. Not at all the "pretty girl role model" doll I wanted to give a young child, especially through a church! Sadly, as it arrived just in time for the toy drive, my only options were to give it or give nothing as I didn't have time to find something else. I was mortified, and hope she still liked the doll and that her mother approved!

All of these dolls are beautiful. Features are sharp. Skin tones are quite comparable to people of color! I hope this company designs some male dolls!

This is a beautiful doll! Her features and clothing are very well made. However, her arms do not rest fully against her body and seating her is awkward -as another reviewer pointed out. Still, she is a beautiful doll and my daughter just loves her!

The Prettie girls Kimani doll is wonderful. Her skin tone and hair color are a beautiful compliment.Although she is a bit bigger and heavier than the average Barbie doll , her flexible joints allow her to pose in many different positions.Overall this Prettie Girls doll is absolutely a must for the doll collector .
