BEST. THING. EVER.
The media could not be loaded. I have 3 of these… because I have 4 cats. I have never seen my cats love anything more than they loved this. In my house, the cats preferred to uses these as kittens and slowly lost interest. I simply put the rugs away for a bit then reintroduced and wha la! They were back to loving them!!! I cannot overstate how enjoyable it is to watch them play in and on the rugs. My PRO TIP… buy some of those little furry mice (Play and squeak on amazon I believe) that squeak when they bat them, throw them inside the mounded up rug and use a wand to to lure the kittens towards the mice. They lose their minds lol. What a PURRRfect invention. Very heavy duty as in you can wash (I used cold water and unscented detergent) and air dry many times with no dissolving of the backing, no pilling and no deterioration of the Velcro. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I buy for any new kitten guardians as well. As the kittens get older, they may prefer to sleep upon the rug instead of playing as much, but this is awesome as the rug is so easy to clean, and often i can use my vacuum without the beater brush on to just tidy up any fur… LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.Here are the bullet points for those who do not wanna read the whole review:* EASY to clean - holds up for years with cold wash and air or hang dry (dries super quick either way)* Non slip backing, rug will not slide on tile, wood or engineered flooring like Pergo, but also won’t jack up your carpet. I keep mine on various surfaces. Backing does NOT deteriorate when washed and dried with longevity in mind.* Rug does not hold smells, as in if a kitten or sick cat pees on it, you do not even need to use enzyme cleaner pre wash if you do not want to.* Velcro on topper does not lose strength, and due to the Velcro being heavy duty it does not seem to pick up cat hair or fuzzies meaning it never becomes useless* CATS FRIGGIN’ LOVE IT* No rubber smell when new, no need to air out like many products that have a rubber backing.* Holds up extremely well to claws and scratching, very little sign of wear and take after 3 years, 4 cats* Endless ways to form the topper, and tons of opportunity to provide hunting style play with small toys or treats* Great cat sleeping mat if cats stop playing as much as when babies.* Awesome photo ops of kitty eyes peeking out of holes, and heads popping out as seen in video* Perfect gift for new kitten or cat owners* Excellent “scent soaker” for cats

Great if your cat likes to open things or find things under rugs
My cat initially didn’t seem to like any toys I tried. Things on strings, she couldn’t care less, but I happened to see her fishing around under my yoga mat one morning like there was something for her to catch and I remembered a buzzfeed list that featured this product. It’s absolutely perfect for my girl - she treats it like a play place, just add some little toys for her to hunt and she’s happy as a clam. I’m so glad I found this. She’s pretty aggressive and tends to attack with claws and this has held up 100% - it looks just like new despite several months of rough housing. It’s easy to spot clean. The movable nature of the overlay is ingenious - I can reset it in different configurations for her - sometimes it’s a comfortable hide out and other times she rolling around all over the place. She’s engaged and enjoying it! I’m so grateful for this because it’s a great fit for her. It is not a soft cuddly product like something super plush feeling, so if you are looking for something very plush, this is not that. It feels more like a heavy felt. It certain doesn’t irritate my cat because she has lots of other very plush places to hang out, so this is more just a pint of information.Overall, it’s well made, easy to setup, easy to clean, and a beloved toy - thanks so much for making this!

Cats actually seem to enjoy it
A birthday gift for our 1 year old cats (3). A little expensive for what it is, but they have enjoyed it. It comes in two pieces; one flat piece that sits on the ground and another flat piece, that has various holes, that lays on top. The top piece can form folds and ridges for the cats to get under or reach through, etc.Pros:- The cats like it. This is obviously the biggest Pro. The cats do seem to enjoy playing on and in it. Especially with each other. It provide them cover to hide and pounce on each other.- Quality material. I have no idea its made out of, but its soft and seemingly durable. The cats love to lay on it.- Size. Its the perfect size for 2 or 3 cats to play with.Cons:- Not rigid enough. Maybe over time this will change, but part of its appeal is that you can form ridges and folds for the cats to sit inside or climb through. This works well when you initially lay it down and "form" it, but it doesn't withstand cat play. The first time a cat jumps on it it will reform and eventually be crushed down, losing the valleys and ridges. With a little rigidity, it would take a little punishment and hold its form. Because it doesn't hold its form, they cats eventually lose interest in the flattened/crumpled fabric and you have to re-form it. It ends up being something you have to re-form farily frequently.- Velcro. The velcro works perfectly as it is currently designed. It holds itself down with no problems to the bottom layer. The Con is that it would be better designed if the velcro could be moved. As it is designed, the top piece has pieces of velcro around the edges. It would be nice if these velcro patches were moveable to create a larger variety of shapes.- Price. Considering its just two pieces of fabric with some holes and velcro, it is a little pricey. Its worth repeating though... the cats do enjoy it and have continued to enjoy it for several weeks now. I honestly didn't expect them to as its such a simple concept (two pieces of fabric), but it makes sense for anyone who has cats. How many times do the cats end up playing with the box or paper rather than the complicated toy that came inside it. It just seems like for this price you could probably just make something similar for less money.
