Just what I needed.
I really enjoyed this book. Like other people said, it was exactly what it intended to be. It's a really well paced read with interesting characters. My heart strings weren't eradicated, but the tension and development were perfect. The Author has a few quirks, but it's easy to look past and just enjoy a good book.

A enjoyable start
I will start by saying I enjoy novel where people go back to the past and get a second chance at things. This book has a decent foundation it is starting off with and I look forward to reading more. For the author : a couple of things to keep in mind. I have nothing against the harem genre but writing one is a fine balancing act. There can only be so many people before they start feeling like throwaway props for the MC to win then immediately have fade into the background so if you bring someone in make sure they get enough development time to be relevant. Also make sure to think about how they interact with the other women in the mc's life and how they come to an understanding (or not one) of sharing him. This is important as it primarily monogamous society has a harder time seeing how something like this could work.Another thing I am sure you noticed in your reading is that the wuxia genre involves a lot of face slapping (either metaphorically or physically). While it is a staple of the genre I would recommend trying to keep that toned down as I personally start to glaze over those sections if they are used to much. In addition, you might sometimes have you antagonists have some common sense. As for the ero, good on you most wuxia skips that because of censorship in china. That said there is an art to it and I think you had a good start here. If you want some decent examples try reading mage emperor on royal road or road to kingdom. Either way I look forward to reading more.

It's good
Solid first book in the series. Author spends a lot of time establishing the world and laying out why the protagonist is as strong as he was and will become as he will again after being thrust into the past. Some nice obliviousness to just how powerful he truly is good characterization. Looking forward to more books than the series of which it seems like there's quite a few to read, so that's another thing to recommend it. Hope this review helps you decide whether you and read it or not. I'm not going to tell you the plot because they would dis distract you and maybe take away from your enjoyment of the book

Compelling story of unexpected second chances.
This was a good introduction to a driven character who was unique and had motivations you could understand. Insurmountable odds that have an unexpected turn allowing possibilities to open. It's difficult to go into more detail without introducing spoilers but this was worth the ride of picking up the first book to see if it was worth getting another. On book 6 now so it was worth it for me.

A quick, fun read
This is not my normal style of book, but it was recommended to me and I enjoyed it.It wasn't an epic tale with myriad twists, deep plots, and enough characters that I needed to take notes. Instead, it was a quick jaunt into a new world where I was immediately dropped into action then followed with a quick catch up and move forward. It was actually refreshing that everything was so straightforward. The chapters are not long, but they are satisfying. The character development is fast, but not lacking. It's the story of someone once powerful that has to rebuild with their knowledge of before. Minor time travel elements, so that plays a factor as well, and I feel it's well done.Is this the best book ever? No.Was it good at what it set out to do? Yes.You're not going to compare this to Game of Thrones any time soon, but as a quick and entertaining break, it served its purpose magnificently.

A wuxia x anime love child
[Warning: This Book contains R18 materials and is not suitable for children][This review contains a lot of terminology that you may or may not be familiar with. For full understandingly, I recommend looking up words you do know know.]Brandon Varnell's Wiedergeburt: Legend of the Reincarnated Warrior volume 1 is pretty much what one would expect from a wuxia novel; a powerful hero, fights, monsters and martial arts, and listening to it didn't disappoint either.I have not read many wuxia novels in my days as a reader, my knowledge of them is pretty much limited to manwha and The Dao of Magic, which I read quite recently and is more of a satiric take on the wuxia format, than a wuxia novel, if that makes sense? I can therefore say that wuxia is pretty much like genres like GameLit and Isekai (other world); to an outsider, it will most likely seem pretty bad and it will be hard to enjoy, but once you've gotten used to the tropes, it's a lot easier to get into.I feel like Weidergeburt isn't quite on the level of being an introductory book for the genre, like The Dao of Magic (which explains it's tropes a lot more), but Varnell has mixed in enough anime tropes for a fantasy anime watcher to get into this book quite easily.Because of the format's quite special tropes, I can see those who are unfamiliar with them to have a difficult time to get into this book, and I recommend you read a few other wuxia novels that are recommended by the community before reading this book to get the full experience. That said, as someone who has some exposure of the format, there isn't much to comment on. The book is well written, and I enjoy the characters. As for the narration; I was positively surprised by there being a Female voice for the female characters. There isn't much to comment on when it comes to negative aspects, other than it feels like Christopher Boucher takes goes into the role of narrator a little bit too serious, but you get used to it after a little while, and the editing feels like it'd need a little more polishing in the transitions between the narration and when Rebecca Woods makes her lines; sometimes she is cut in and out too early, making it feel a little bit rushed, but it's overall done quite well.I enjoyed listening to this book, and will award the book with an 8/10 with an overall score of 7/10. I look forward to reading volume two in the future.

Excellent Read and Fantastically Written
I binged this book in one night. It was an incredible regression/ reincarnation story that had me hooked from the incredible battle scene at the start.I loved how the relationships in the story developed and that the author didn’t shy away from the details. The story as a whole is fantastic and the way it glimpses into the future (the MC’s previous life) is a great insight into how the MC’s story is changing. On to book 2 and the rest! 😁😁

Not too shabby
Actually a very good book. I came into it a bit sceptical due to the sex warning, but it is actually well written and enjoyable!

Prey good read
Good book, while I am not the biggest fan of stories told from the I perspective, this book makes it good. While the style of involving memoies from the past live of Eryk in the present is also something I wasn't acquitted it is well made. So all in all a pretty good book. Also the style is similar to a mix of a great fanfiction and a Japanese light novel which is also great

Good read
I enjoyed the story, it's kinda slow, but it's the first book and you're building the world and it's characters so it's fine. You showing the future(past) and present of the characters gives a nice contrast to the story, but it was alot of flashbacks, it breaked the flow sometimes, since this is a xianxia story, and they're usually quite long, maybe cut down a little on the flashbacks.Would like to see the cultivation system be more explored too.Keep up the good work.
