My 1-year-of-use review
I would give this ramp more than five stars if possible. We purchased this ramp a year ago this month as a last-minute urgent purchase with little time to shop around. It has been used multiple times daily for foot traffic and wheelchair use (and some dogs). We are in GA, which means humid summers and rainy winters. The ramp still looks brand new, has retained its non-slip traction despite heavy use, and shows no signs of the traction material's warping, bending, or peeling. We are using it on an 8-9 inch incline, but I am sure it would work well even if used at a steeper incline. It is also light enough that I can lift the bottom up to sweep underneath. So thankful we chose well, as it has been a game-changer in allowing my parents to quickly come and go with little assistance.

Prairie View Industries WCR830 Portable Multi-Fold Ramp 8' x 30"
We carefully researched and reviewed several ramps. We needed a ramp because my father had a stroke June 20, 2013.He was hospitalized from June 30, 2013 to July 1, 2013 in the Panhandle. He was moved to a rehab center where he underwent daily rehab (PT, OT, & SP).He was released Oct. 30th because his 100 Medicare discount days ended and in order to re-qualify he would have to have 60 well days--meaning he would have to physically leave the rehab or pay $10K per month rather than the discounted rate of $4,440 per month because he didn't have supplemental or Medigap. His home has three short brick steps with a medium rise. The ramp was ideal in that it extended well above the rise. When ordering this ramp, you will have to measure the height of the entry way from the lowest step to the porch/doorway.We paid shipping and handling at a rate of $40. If you don't order the correct size, you'll have to pay the extra $40 for shipping and handling for the return, and an additional $40 for the replacement. This is a sturdy metal portable ramp with a non-skid surface. It also folds and is easy to carry (60 lbs.). My sister installed it on her own.We initially tried to have a ramp installed from a company based in Jacksonville/Navarre, but when they came out to measure and give an estimate, the price was $5,000 plus a $200 per month rental fee. I kid you not, this guy wanted $5K for the same ramp, but with bolts to secure it to the structure. The social worker told us to go to Amazon and order a portable wheelchair ramp.It is to be noted, that this ramp does come with bolts for securing it. This ramp also comes with a built-in lip so the sales rep told us they had found that most customers don't need the additional $50 lip attachment. There was no installation nor alteration to the original structure. You can also travel with this ramp if you're going on vacation, traveling to a family member's home, or traveling to a destination that doesn't have a ramp.We paid $409 for the ramp. This was the cheapest price via online that we could find. The shipping charges were also cheaper. We ordered expedited service $40. The other companies were charging $50 and above. We received the ramp well before the delivery date by ordering from Wayfair.

Awesome Ramp
I have a child in a powered wheelchair that weighs close to 400lbs empty. I needed to be able to drive it in a side door of my house that is 8 inches above the driveway. This ramp is very easy to use. It unfolds in seconds, and is sturdy enough to support the wheelchair as well as myself as a guide (over 600lbs combined). The ramp barely flexes under this load. The top and bottom have a very smooth transition that allows the wheels to guide right along. The edge is high enough to deflect the wheels if my child starts turning a little to far. This is an excellent quality ramp for the cost.

Perfect! I called the company they were very helpful.
Perfect. Wife broke her ankle in 3 spots after taking a small tumble in the driveway. Required emergency surgery to fix. I called the company and spoke to one of the techs for them to review my set up and rise etc.was concerned about clearance underneath they verified what I already thought and recommended the 8ft ramp. Arrived and I inspected and tried it out. I wore workman gloves to protect my hands from the metal but not necessary just take your time. Very pleased. Once she is finished with months of physical therapy I will donate it to a local charity that assists people who are in need. Prairie View is a Great company.

USA Made, Quality ramp Easy Set-up
I rented one of these from a local medical supply store when I needed to provide wheelchair access to our house. Finding that I needed one for the foreseeable future, I ended up ordering one from Amazon & returned the rental when mine arrived. It is very well constructed, yet light enough that one person can set it up. It bore the weight of my wheelchair bound wife, and my weight wheeling her. An excellent non-skid surface and edging that keeps you from absent-mindedly wandering off one edge or the other, are great.

Definitely not portaable
This ramp claims to be portable but it is to heavy to carry for my sister and aunt. We got this ramp for my dads house to use inside the garage because he cannot get up and down the 2 steps anymore. We were going to install and remove the ramp when needed but the ramp is to heavy to install and remove each time it is needed. So now it is hard to pull the car into the garage to get my dad up the ramp. Also my dad weighs 170lbs and has a small wheelchair. This ramp flexes way to much when pushing him up and down the ramp.

Very Heavy and Angle Too Steep Even Though Measured
We have 2 tall steps in front of the house. We needed a portable ramp for a wheelchair. We measured per the instructions and chose the 8 foot length, which was what was recommended (a bit more than recommended). If we went with the 10 foot length, it would probably be too heavy to be considered portable. We need to fold it up and carry it away each time we use it. The 8 foot ramp is 50 pounds so my wife had to split it in half, lay it out then put it together again. What a hassle. Then folding and unfolding is somewhat confusing. Anyway, the angle is too steep to push the wheelchair up. Again, we followed the measuring instructions and went with one that was larger than the minimum recommended. Would work if no one was sitting in the wheelchair. We could not test it right away because the person in the wheelchair was in the hospital. Once we did, it was past our 30 day return window and the vendor nor Amazon will take it back. Waste of a lot of money.
