Does the job!
This brush was exactly what I needed to clean my dryer vent, which has a couple of right angle bends in the ductwork. The fairly flexible shaft may seem like its a bit "wet noodle-y", but that's what makes it easier to work it around bends without undue pressure, which can risk damage to the ductwork. I found that it just takes is a bit of twisting on the handle with one hand while pushing the shaft with the other to move it through the bends. I could have used a couple more feet of shaft length to get the brush through in one pass, but it was easy enough to just make one pass from the dryer end of the duct, then another from the outside end, then blow any remaining, loosened lint out with a low-power blast from an electric leaf blower. I won't claim the the job is something I'll be looking forward to doing once a month because it's so much fun, but this brush made it a lot easier, and at least I won't dread doing it whenever needed again in the future.

Good quality and did a great job.
As others have said, the cable is a bit flexie for pushing it down the pipe, especially around an elbow. But, with a bit of finesse, it can be done. The 10-foot length was perfect for me to clean my 19' pipe from both ends, and I got a LOT of lint out. I also found that the lint releases from the brush much easier than I expected. I strongly suggest that you clean your dryer vent -- and the dryer itself -- every couple of years. The use of dryer sheets and fabric softeners has dramatically increased the occurrence of dryer fires, and it isn't that hard to keep them clean.

Worked for our unclean vent
I got the brushtech today and used it on our vent that hasn't been cleaned out since before we moved in (I know we're terrible). It is completely manual. You don't have to twist it spin but if your vent is terribly dirty it will only go up so far. You have to take it out and clean it off then put it back in the vent. Each time it went farther up the vent. Our vent was only feet maybe.I didn't get one that attaches to a drill because we don't have a working drill right now. So this did the job and got the vent completely clean. Its 4 inches in diameter and staid in the vent. It didn't fall out when let go of. I have a video but don't know how to post that on here.

Good job cleaning - but inserting handle first works best - I strongly suggest reading other reviews.
It does a good job of cleaning the vents but like in other reviews it's best to insert it from the inside handle first and pull it out. It does not bend around the 90` angles as well as we thought but once you get it where you need it, it works well.

Only tool you'll ever need
So easy to use and clean. Very effective at removing lint. Definitely recommend it. Don't need any other tool to clean lint from dryer trap.

Bad design
Bad Design. The end (about 5") and connection is solid without any flex. The next 10' snake is too weak and flexible. The result is that it will not go around corners. I used it from the inside out and the outside in. But still could not reach the center section. The brush gets to a turn and just stops. I tried several things to make the 10' section more stiff, but still could not make a turn because the solid end at the brush would not go around a corner. Needs to go back to Amazon.

Fixed my Cold Dryer
Our dryer hadn't been getting as hot as it used to. I felt the vent outside the house and it seemed to be blowing warm humid air out just fine. My wife told me that we needed a new dryer. Before doing that I decided to order the Brushtech Vent Brush and give the vent pipe a thorough cleaning. Our vent pipe is very long with a 6 ft vertical section, then a 11 foot horizontal section before going outside. We took the vent apart and ran the brush through it. It was shocking how much lint was in the vent pipe, especially at the elbows! This brush did an amazing job after running it through twice. After putting the vent pipe back together we ran the dryer and it got the laundry hot like it hasn't done in years! Apparently if the dryer senses low vent airflow it prevents the heating system from getting too hot. This minor investment saved us from buying a new dryer.

Perfect its not but it did a good job
The upside, the brush is pretty stiff and the metal spring (if I can describe the handle as a spring) seem quite durable. The down side, since you really can only pull, the brush head could have been a tad bigger and you will not be able to use this in a drill or rotate it like a drain auger. Our dryer duct is made up of a 3' flex pipe connected into five rigid straight pipes. My guess is it had not been cleaned since 1970 when the house was built so it REALLY needed it. The pipes, especially near the dryer were at least 30% clogged with a dense layer of lint all around the inside of the pipe.I did not expect or plan to but just to test I did try pushing the brush through but I found it impossible, even the pipe farthest from the dryer with the least amount of lint. Pulling worked quite good. The task required taking all the pipes apart so be sure you have some aluminum duct tape on hand for reassembly..Each section needed at least 5 passes with the brush and it was impossible to get 100% of the lint. Like I said, the brush could be a tad bigger but it got at least 95% and the dryer does really work better now.I rather thought the metal spring handle might allow rotating the brush head by hand or with a drill. I tried just by hand but it is way too flexible. So perfect its not but it did a good job and was not expensive
