Plant growth under these lights is impressive
I bought these to grow habanero chillies, which I've never had much luck with previously here in the UK, and the lights have been on full brightness for twelve hours a day, very close up, since the seedlings were tiny. The lights can be set to blue for vegetative growth, red for fruiting, or both together. There are ten brightness levels, but I don't know why anyone would want to use anything other than full brightness. The results are satisfying: the plants are about a foot tall and bushy about three months after germination and starting to develop flowers. Most of the growth has been on an east-facing window ledge. About a month ago, I had to move half the plants out from under the lights onto a south-facing (i.e. sunnier) window ledge because they were getting too big to all fit. The moved plants are now clearly not growing as fast as the ones that have remained under lights. The timer facility works, although it's very simple: it measures a daily three, nine or twelve hour period from the time at which the lights are plugged in. So if you want a particular twelve hour daily illumination period, you need to be present at the right time to start it off.The clamp needs a reasonably thick ledge to grip on to. I am going to buy an additional f-clamp to increase the reach of these lights, since now the plant are taller there isn't enough length in the adjustable arms to reach up from the ledge and then across the tops of the plants. The power consumption is practically nothing. The power supply is rated to five watts, so about sixty watt-hours over a twelve hour day, or less than a penny a day at 14p/unit.

When it works, its great
I bought two of these as I moved into a house with a lot less light. I have a lot of plants that I've grown for years with great success. I've only used the lights for about a month but my plants are still alive and growing (although obviously growth has slowed due to the autumn cold). However, one of these lights has started malfunctioning. All 3 heads on it have started rapidly flashing, almost like theres a loose connection. I've wiggled the cables around, and the circuit board is easily accessible yet I cant find any issues that could be causing the problem. I've unplugged the light and stopped using it as I'm worried it could be a fire hazard. I will try it again another time but I fear I might have to throw it out.The second light I bought is still working fine. With the position of my plants, one light (3 heads) is supporting 7 medium-sized plants.

Great little lamp
Works for indoor plants, timer doesn’t work properly and the stand is ok but if knocked slightly will topple over.

Supee powerful! Changed my plant game and no more lots of little lights/strips around the house.
I have to say I am very impressed with these lights. I has been using strip grow lights and bulbs and have a clip on light and found that it was not enough, for the amount of plants I have I needed more. So when I got this one, I was expecting it to be quite loud considering they size. I mean the fans do make sounds but it really is not loud and it doesn't get really hot around it either, though one thing to highlight is that it is on the heavier side so might not be as easy to hang, for me it isn't an issue because I just have it on a table. One of my most important things for me was that it needed to be powerful enough to cover many plants not just a few. The range it covers is very wide, even wider than I expected and of course stronger than any other lights I had which is a massive thumbs up from me, so I don't need the 4 grow lights and bulbs I had anymore I only use this one. I can imagine it could be amazing for growing a large bed of cuttings.Since I've been using this light I have seen quite a few of my plants grow collectively, which before only the ones closer to the bulb would really show a significant difference in perckiness, colour or growth, while now it's many of them even not being directly in front of the light, that's due to the wide range it covers. The only thing is that you have to turn it on and off manually so no timer and only one level of brightness, but it works for me as I can move it back or closer to my plants depending on how much light I want on my plants.Overall really happy with it.

Great to use in the depths of winter
This is brilliant for giving seedlings an early start. Normally I'd find it impossible to get very far growing anything in February. This is very bright but the light can be dimmed. It's easy to adjust this to various heights and bend the arms to suit. The tripod stand is stable and it's very light too. Seems to be very well made.

good for raising seedlings
I am using this for microgreens in a dark spot in the kitchen, it's great and would recommend for anyone wanting to do the same.
