Does what it was intended for, as a mordant. Worked perfectly.

Useful powder to use
I used this as part of a flower pounding project. It is a white powder that you mix with water and soak material in. Once dried this acts as a mordant on the material for the flower dyes and preserves the colours. Easy to use and I didn’t find it affected my skin at all though I was more careful to keep away from my eyes.

For keeping hydrangeas blue
I think as long as you start to use this in September (early) it will keep your hydrangeas blue throughout their growing season. It’s a pain to make up each time but a teaspoon in a 2L bottle is usually enough to hydrate the plant and maintain its colour.

It could be me!
I bought this to turn my potted pink Hydrangea blue, despite adding vinegar to help break down the product, the hydrangea is still pink. So a waste of money for me but maybe i did something wrong?
